Geez. We hoped for Ricky to put that YZ125 in the race, and he did. He went 31-35 for 34th overall and threw some whips for us two stroke fans in the process. I was there and loved every minute of it. It was about 100 degrees that day.

Sorry he didn't get up on the podium for you.

Leave it up to a Vitard to ask for something as bad ass as racing a 125 two stroke at the nationals and then find something to complain about afterwards.

If someone didnt know the whole story, they might think this^^

Ricky didnt ask for a dime. When some of us saw he was considering Redbud, we basically bribed him to come to RB for our benefit. A few people chipped in for some gas money as a gesture. It wasnt much and he likely had to pay for the bulk of the trip himself.

None of us had never met him before, are far from bros, but more like some local rednecks which could be worse!. Plus we are too old to "bro".

He delivered all the entertainment we we hoped for. Making the show was the goal and everyone and him hanging out with us after the race was something we will all remember for a long time. Ricky is a class act and not many are these days. As I remember, he was actually helping someone else who truly needed it, which puts him up there with me.
