Roczen mentioned CP cutting the track. Was he talking about that funny line around the 180 on top of the hill? Looks like there was a mound built up around the inside but I thought I saw yellow markers on on the very inside.
I lost some respect for Roczen with that comment...He said Pourcel cut inside some track markers and it made him (Roczen) mad. My thought at the time was that he should STFU and file a protest if that happened...

was plenty of haters on here saying he wasn't good enough to be a top 5 guy!!! 3-5 for 4th overall today isn't bad for a guy that only got on the bike a couple of weeks before the season started! (all the other riders had months of testing behind them)

one guy on here said CP377 would really struggle this week with the temperature/ humidity?

pourcel is a serious talent! love to watch him ride- expect to see him on the box regularly when he's back to 100% again, with a win at unadilla

Sure you get a few bone head posters talking trash like they always do , but 99% of this board pulls for CP to do good. Hell 99% of the posters pull for all the riders to do good and stay healthy. Exactly. Let's not forget that 2strokerider was predicting victories for Pourcel at Hangtown in Glen Helen so I can only imagine that people were disagreeing with him adamantly. I guess they are the ones who were right. Now Pourcel has one good race and 2strokerider is back on here making claims. Please tell me how they are any different then you 2strokerider. Wink

The yellow markers don't define the racing area but rather provide a suggested barrier. From what I saw at Hangtown the worst thing that happens to offenders who don't obey the Acerbis markers is double secret probation.

Kenny was joking, if he wasn't Matthes would be all over this, Kenny & CP will be training & riding Monday...

its impossible to predict how long it will take for a rider to get used to a new bike/ team and back to race pace again. Pourcel has now proven that he has the pace to run up front again (fastest qualifier then 3-5 for 4th overall)

predicting him winning earlier in the season was wishful thinking on my part, but that's not to say he's not capable of it- he's one of the only riders that is capable of beating roczen/ dungey in my opinion, to say there are 18 guys faster than him, or that he isn't capable of running up front anymore (like many people did at the start of the season) - is way off the mark. Some guys were saying mid pack riders were more deserving of the ride, some were saying he wouldn't be able to ride the 450 in the heat/ humidity etc
He's starting to find his groove again, next we have buds creek, red bud, Millville, Washougal and Unadilla. All good tracks for cp377

If he can stay fit for the next few rounds I think he will win Unadilla (and be on the podium several times before the end of the season) - perhaps that's a little more realistic expectations. Just pleased to see him back racing, obviously starting to gel with the bike/ team and happy to be there. Any motocross fan should be - having another top guy out there is good for the racing/ fans.

I guess its all good, although I thought he looked a bit annoyed at the time. I hope someone got a picture of whatever the hell line he was taking there. Looked pretty slick on TV!

impressive stuff from pourcel, starting on the back foot with only 2 weeks on the bike/ new team before round one of the series (when most of his competitors had months of testing behind them) - racing his way back into shape. Was surprised with his aggression this week. Thought he seemed to be over riding the bike a lot to try and run the pace of the leaders, which is unusual for him.

excited to see how the rest of the season pans out for cp377

It isn't my logic, it's simply fact. So far 17 riders have beaten him. I'm not counting the moto that he scored no points.

that many beat KRoc the 1 st moto..yet he is second in points..and .
again..more than that beat Tomac the 2nd moto of Colo. ...so what does that mean really...other than they had bad motos...

Great ride for CP, I had him pegged for 5th-8th this weekend. He is at least as fast as the other riders (not named Roczen or Dungey), and there's no reason he shouldn't be vying for the podium every weekend.

Great performance by CP377. I was surprise by his desire to keep the lead in the first moto compared to the previous motos. Hope he can build a rythm and stay in that top 5.

I remember Baggett saying in an interview that he watched footage of CP taking turns over and over again. I think it was on Inside the Outdoors. Quite interesting.
