Volunteer work. Give the flaggers exclusive access to something before or after the race. There's a lot of ways to sweeten the deal.
IV's between motos should help out though.
plus, a full time crew wont know the track and its tendency trouble spots anywhere near as well as a local crew. IMO that's the track owners job and part of his expense to host a professional race! The days of grabbing jethro, tossing him a flag, and taking him to a corner for 4 hours is bullshit. seriously. local race, fine, you have to use what you can get. Professional race, this one spot can literally kill someone because of incompetence. It has been an issue forever. Just part of the sport.... can anyone disagree it shouldn't be?
They block pay raises if it isnt across the board for everyone. Ive witnessed it, thats a fact. They charge back dues to employees while on strike, causing a burden on the workers they represent when they are allowed to work again.
Unions are all about the money now. Thinly veiled as "protecting the worker." Publc employee unions are the absolute worst. Cant fire anyone for anything. Its a racket. One that sorely needs to go the way of the horse and buggy.
Pit Row
I am surprised one doesn't exist, but over time I have seen the momentum usually ends pretty quickly. I remember when Stanton was trying to do one when he was racing. It was over all the same old crap- money, safety, tracks etc.
But i dont see pro sx/mx racers wanting to form a union over track safety....
As long as that video isn't used for broadcasting the race on network tv then it shouldn't matter what camera a rider wears.
That would be like Monster not allowing Red Bull, Rockstar, 5150, etc.. race supercross.
I think i get what you are referring to, that was a different situation all together. I was referring to a usabmx national that was a uci race, not the uci sx they protested over. You had it right, different races though.
