N I think jvh will ride the 250 n dessale n strijbos 450
.........that's true Struth.... wouldnt be the first time we've seen someone do well with it either
I think these are the best possible team line ups (when everyone is healthy):
USA: Dungey - J. Martin - Villopoto
France: Paulin - Tixier / Musquin - Febvre
Belgium: Desalle - Van Horebeek/Lieber - Strijbos/ Van Horebeek / De Dycker (depends on Lieber's form, and Van Horebeek could race MX2 as the Yam proves to be friggin' fast))
Great Britain: Searle - Wilson / Anstie - Simpson
Italy: Cairoli - Lupino - Philippaerts / Guarneri
Germany: Roczen - Jacobi (suprised me a little so far) - Nagl
Switzerland: Guillod (as he has to move up next year) - Seewer - Tonus
Netherlands: Coldenhoff - Bogers - Herlings
These teams are the ones who can win or get a podium.
And with Pootjes coming thru in a few years team Brabant will be podium contenders soon....
fingers crossed the teams that are put out end up being as strong as they could be
Bam bam
Bagget
Nelson?
not my team Struth but yeah I see what you are saying....... clearly not as strong but I still think capable
Btw Gollob's... I think the British team will be the same as last year, with TS on the 250 again..
France will win the MXDN though so I don't really know why they're bothering with it this year. Their biggest problem is whether they take MM or Tixier...
Pit Row
Would be nice for the Brits to catch a break for just one year..... bit sick of just missing out on podiums
If they stay injury free France would have to be favourites but only marginally if team USA had RD RV & JM ..... but anything can happen in MXDN..............edit: in fact screw that I wouldnt have them as favourites at all, despite home advantage, with that USA team
A little early to be drunk don't you think?
I don't think Baggett is ready on the 450. Next year may be different. Most of the top US riders are currently out. RV, JS, CW, ET, TC, it's crazy, really. That's a hell of a list of talent and accomplishments. Every single one of those guys have both an outdoor and SX title except CW.
France has to be favourite (so far), even as Ferrandis is definitely out (knee surgery). The Tixier / Musquin decision will be a tough one but the French Federation has "an open mind" about it. If anything happens to Paulin or Febvre, there still are capable "B" plans.
US and Belgium of course, + Germany (would need one decent 250 result, but Nagl and Roczen, if they are there and healthy, is a very strong pair), + Netherlands (kind of same).
Switzerland, great outsider !
Italy, not so much (besides Cairoli of course).
MX1 Pieck
MX2 Cianciarulo
MX3 Anderson
Send Pieck over to the Baker factory after the last national and let him train with the other two, Aldon. Consider it giving back to the country that has made you rich.
But no. We will send Dungey, so we can watch him play safe and conservative in a one-off race that rewards bravery and risk. It works in a 17 race meat grinder. But the MXdN.. We need Magoo '82.
