Isle of Man TT

I know this is a dirt forum but you guys always have awesome suggestions for links and live streams. It's one of the only road races I'll watch but I can't find where it will be televised this year. Anyone have any insight?

There is a "real roadracing series" on mavtv or CBSs that is guys on road like isle of man, lots of track furniture.

Something i love is speedway,

http://speedwaygp.com/

You can go to the video section and watch the finals from events so far.

great to see another fan here Hillbilly Cool ..........the full Speedway GP's also turn up on torrents and youtube....... although quite frankly the first two rounds of this year were a farce and are best avoided

there's strong American interest in 3 time winner Greg Hancock who is the reigning world champion and still doing it at age 44 which is incredible

There Is road racing all over Ireland on rreal roads , most are around 5 miles long , but can be really narrow and bumpy , the speeds are mad plus they are racing to , the Ulster avg lap time is over 130 mph . The tt. is great to but it's against the clock , I ve been to the tt a few times ,it's great but you don't get to see them passing and slipstreaming like at a race , It's just madness ,

Sounds awesome to watch. Within the next few years I would like to take the trip to Isle of Man and maybe Ireland to watch some of these races in person. As a guy that's been there, any advice for my future travel plans? How much money should I bring? Where's the best places to watch? Any good places to stay?

his nephews own it for now, although a kiwi owns the lap record,

if you can find it, the movie called Road, about the Dunlop family is well worth a watch,

Check out the movie "Closer To The Edge" if you haven't already, as well.

First of all, make sure you book the Ferry to Man long before you go there.
There is no way you can just show up and get on the Ferry.

Do it, you wont be sorry. I went in 2006. Stayed at the Hilton on the beach. It was OK, but the race itself is AMAZING. Its like nothing you have experienced before. Make sure to do some work ahead of time on where to watch from certain points, as some of the vista's are amazing. I can make a few suggestions, but do your own research.

The Isle of Man is a true once in a lifetime experience.

Hey, Scranton PA, eh? Please give Louis DeNaples my best regards....

I remember a couple of years back seeing on TV a time trial race similar to Pikes Peak but with riders racing on R1's etc, on sealed closed roads. Sure it was in NZ somewhere.

These guys where fucking hammering it. Woohoo

Thanks bro. Yeah. Maybe not next year but I'd like to go within the next few years. Thanks for the info!

One of my good friends is close with Louis. As far as I know dude is a doctor now. The family also owns the local bike/atv dealership. They take good care of people for sure.

Those videos are sick by the way. Thanks for posting them. Gotta pay off the dirtbike but I definately see some sort of YZF-R6 in my future. I'll never ride like that, ever. Hahahaha not at my age but I've ridden a few of my friends 600s and man, they make the ride to work a lot more enjoyable.

Corrected post:

I think the first 2 shows are re-reuns of the '14 races. The '15 Senior TT is on June 6 on Velocity and other classes to follow each day. Great racing.

I do hope MavTV brings back the Real Road Racing series as well as the British Superbike series.
