Will he? No probably not.
While he doesn't have a track record for crashing or anything, I just do not see going a full 24 moto season without a crash/bike problems/or just some kind of bad luck in general. I know its been done before but thats when someone could start dead last and come back to win. Even with tomacs speed right now I do not see him being able to go down in say the first turn, gets up in last (while dungey has the holeshot), and coming all the way back to pass him.
not saying he will go 24-0; that is almost impossible given the difficulty of this sport and the talent of the top 5 or 10 guys. but.....
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
There's still twenty motos left in the season. We are less than twenty percent of the way through the series. That's a lot of time for a lot of things to happen. Can't we just sit back and watch the season unfold without asking the same question every week?
Shane
of the series, I say yes, if his bike starts...
After that I guess the competition will be rough they might be dialed in by than.
#5 is coming closer
#94 can go as fast as Tomac but not 30 minutes right now.
My money is on Dungey for the championship as it was for sx........Consistency wins championships and eli has been everything other then that. Dungey on the other hand is consistent as hell. On eli's good days though, nobody is gonna beat him as we saw the last two weeks.
24-0 Not a chance, but I would love to see it.
Pit Row
Stay in the moment - one moto out of a time.
Yes it was a long time ago, but it is that inconsistency that has plagued him. He rode like a C rider that night.
Then remember what he did at MXDN I think it was two years ago. He rode kamikazee style and was amazing.
Same issues in the earlier part of this SX season.
Always a pleasure to watch. He is an animal on the bike.
Dungey on the other hand, his consistency is mind blowing. IF it wasn't for RV, we would probably have a 6 time champion. The guy just never goes down.......He definitely deserves way more respect then he gets.
