Need hinson clutch components for rm250

Does anyone have anything laying around? My inner hub is done and I'd like to put a full hinson set up in on a budget. Pressure plate , inner hub, basket?

have you looked at wiseco?, i really liked their stuff on my RM250....i think their fibers work really really good.

also, be careful buying used- for some reason suzuki changed the splines on the inner hub around the years 03-06

Is dint think about theme.i was just thinking maybe someone had a full hinson set up sitting around.
I think the wiseco baskets are probably the best. Barnett I would be interested in as well. I wonder what year they changed the splines. A lot of stuff is 96-02 so maybe 03?

Yeah, I think every year was a little different from '02-'05...'06+ is the same, I believe.

I couldnt find inner hub or pressure plate for my '06, so I got new OEM ones and had them hard coated.

I ordered a new Oem inner hub. I broke it taking off the nut. I was in a hurry and held it with two of the threaded tongs which broke off. The basket doesn't look too bad yet so I'm just going to clean up the fine notches for now. I would like to buy a stronger pressure plate maybe Barnett or hinson. I don't think anyone else makes one for the rms that I know of. I hope it takes out that jumpy jerky clutch action these rms have.

Wiseco, Hinson and Barnett all make billet clutch baskets for the '06+ RM250. Unfortunately, none of these guys make a pressure plate or inner hub. I went with the Wiseco basket. Like Bruce said, ProX (part of Wiseco now???) makes the inner hib and pressure plate. As far as I know, they are OEM product that ProX acquires from ART (the casting manufacturer in Japan). Get those, or OEM and have them hardcoat anodized. This will extend the life of them.

While you are at it, put all new plates, springs and clutch cable in. It doesn't hurt to replace the couple bearings that are in there as well, since they are cheap. When you are done, your clutch will be butter, and have a far better feel than new. Also, another tip, if you don't have a high dollar billet perch, shim your clutch lever to take up the up/down play. This also goes a long way toward an amazing feeling clutch. And, if you do have a billet clutch perch, make sure it has the correct lever ratio for the RM (most dont).

i have a brand new stock basket out of a 06 i think, it has 89058 stammped into it let me know if you can use it

Lol, ive tried a few on all my Suzuki s, but I always go back to the stock perch and lever with a couple of old suspension shims on the lever bolt!

Apart from the magura I put on my 125

Yeah Bruce. I'M using 8mm ID 14x.1 shims. One on top and one on bottom. The lever doesn't move at all vertically.

cool I am going to do this also. I was wondering about some of the fancy aftermarket levers if they helped with this. I've always just lived with the stock sloppiness on RM's clutch lever. thanks for posting that info

Trav128, you will be surprised at how much such a small shim job can change the feel of the clutch.
