Ryan says you're wrong...he's left the possibility open to coming back:

At the 2015 KRT presentation on Friday evening before Valkenswaard, Villopoto admitted that Kawasaki had already asked ‘the question’. The manufacturer will be keen to avoid the protracted situation last summer where they were unable to confirm their athletes for 2015 until Villopoto’s decision was confirmed. “I get the question a lot,” he said, in reference to the heightened curiosity concerning his prospects, particularly as he still seems to need time to learn MXGP and is not dominating like his fans hoped he would.

“As of right now I have not gone back and thought about it too much, just concentrating on what is in front of us and getting where we need to be,” he added. “We were a little bit off coming into the season and from testing in the wrong places like back in the States where it is completely different. I have not put more thought into it. Steve [Guttridge, Kawasaki Motor Europe Racing Manager] asked me just recently and I am going to have to make a decision eventually on what I want to do; keep the decision I have made or change it.”
Well thanks for clearing that up. Yup "keep the decision I have made , or change it" sure says Im wrong.... lol

I qoute from a dutch site:

"This all but closes the door on a potential MXGP world championship, as Villopoto is currently 90 points back of leader Max Nagl. Villopoto has already squashed a potential return to Lucas Oil Pro Motocross in 2015."

Not sure what's true about that.

My thought is he's done. That injury is very slow healing and if he is waiting to be pain free and 100% then that is not gonna happen anytime soon. Every rider has a certain amount of years in him to race at this level and I think he reached his before this season started.

Another Baker boy burned out way too soon
Excuse. He is 26.
HE might be burnout from kicking everyone's ass in AMA mx sx.

Doubt he is burnout from being around 4 th best rider in mxgp in the opening rounds.

Yeah, cause I care that much. You've been a consistently negative voice in this little RV/GP experience.. it's weird. Most people have been pumped on it..

Rather he misses two GP's and comes back relatively healthy rather than ride around in 15th in pain.

It's still a long season..

thats bad news , but if he needs the time so be it .Championship was already over being 90 points behind so if he comes back to race he can go full throttle and try to win some races .... i would love to see him race another year , especially if Herlings moves up too ....i wanna see Herlings ,Cairoli and Villopoto race together for a whole season .... damn , come on and make it happen ...i think he was doing great so far , with a win and constant top5 in his first year .

Gutting news. Still a very exciting scenario we have going on now with Tony's back against the wall with Desalle, Paulin and Nagl especially all on blistering form, but of course it was something particularly special with Ryan in the mix too. As above it's better that he comes back healthy but I do fear that this'll knock him him out for the whole year... Listening to people talk about their own personal coccyx injuries in other threads after the crash; it doesn't come across as something that heals fast and is easy to get over.

Exactly mate! I kind of expected him to miss the Spanish GP but his return to Aldon is a shocker to me. Just thinking about the Villo - Dungey combo at the Bakery now..

If I were him id be back home sitting in a lawn chair beside the pool chillin.... grillin some steaks n ribs, drinkin a beer and getn fat!

For those of you who have broke your tailbone:

1. How many weeks before you raced again.
2. How many weeks earlier could you have done it if you had a million dollar contract?

Just trying to get an idea of when we might reasonably get to see him again.

I broke mine at Steel City once and I had a hard time walking and especially standing up and sitting/laying down... It was a good four weeks before I could move without thinking about how bad it was going to hurt, and sitting on that donut was as awkward as it was helpful. I was near him in the crash in Italy and you could honestly hear and practically feel him hit the deck. When he didn't get right back in the race I knew it was as bad as it looked.

Get well soon, RV, then get back out there and go.

Broke mine in 1977 at Inter Centre team Motocross at Nympsfield Gloucester, England in my first team race. Foolishly rode the second moto not wanting to let Cheshire centre team down.
Had to pull off after 10 minutes, pain was too much, throwing up etc.

Took about 2 weeks for pain to subside to bearable level. Worst pain was doctor re aligning coccyx with rubber glove and finger up, yes you know where!Blush
Worst thing is liquid diet as taking a dump presses right on that area!

Read some where that said RV was back in California? How come his wife Kristen posted pics from Lommel on Instagram this morning?Unsure

For me it was at least a few months before I was even back on my bike and I generally heal fairly quick. It sucked! I remember It bothered me the rest of that summer riding season.
You just cant get into correct form for when you need to be on the seat.
Ive had a few rash ups, bumps and bruises from moto.......very few do I remember.......that one, I remember well!

This sucks... Well i hope we'll see him at Matterly because i think he can win there!

He's not hungry.
Being broke is as great a motivator as a house fire.

A guy without a salary cant not race.

He could Borrower miss supees legs and ass and dont sit if he was broke.

Bro....do you squat....or just pedal 10 speeds?

I fear that this will turn out to be one of those 'nothing' injuries that ends up being far worse than anything he had before.

The more this goes on , the more it looks like it isn't going to deliver.

Surprise.. I knew he would cash out and baile first time he had the oppotunity.. Of course, he could for real be to injuried to ride, but it is not the first time he bailes out, after clinching the title. I dont think we see him anymore this year, Golden boy is done.

Edit: i hope of course he comes back in, it was exiting as hell when he was in it..
