Detroit to Cali is 2 weeks. Would you think they would rather be in Detroit/Indy for 2 weeks?

No, I would rather drive from Detroit to Claifornia then back to Indianapolis. To make 4 hour trip into a 4 day trip.

Yes, and your point is? They could still make abetter logistical schedule for the teams.

In supercross it's not as a big of deal for the riders as compared to MX. The 250 riders don't have to make the travel because it goes from east/west/east. Obviously all of the 450 teams and riders have to make the trips, but if you really think about it, it's probably only putting a major burden on the 10-15 non-factory, non-support (full-on privateer riders) that are following the series. The rest of the teams have these costs budgeted into their finances for the year. Most of the teams are flying in and out and the semi driver is the only one with the truck criss-crossing the country

MX on the other hand is much more difficult. Now you have all of the 250 & 450 guys following the series across the country and for the most part the series flows west to east, plus the trip back to the west for washougal.

I don't get it either....Since someone came up with the brilliant idea of going back to not making the Vegas round count for any points in the 250 class, why couldn't they schedule the west at the beginning 8 rounds and then the east as the final 8 rounds, with Vegas as the pointless round (literally and figuratively)? It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have the long break for the west guys, race santa clara, then ride a meaningless one off Vegas round. yes, i know, there are other events, variables, and factors that must be taken into consideration, but it seems as though one round, santa clara, could be run at some point during the first 8 races or find another location that could.

It's the off weekend. The teams would be going back to California either way.

Cant wait to see ticket prices... If 2014 to 2015 is to be used as a gauge, its going to be pricey..
