2011 FIM Motocross World Championship season mx 2. That is why i believe roczen is the better of them both. Ofc its been a while since , but my personal opinion is on K-roc. And like you said of course its hard to compare them, both are great. i remember watching that season and roczen was flying, herlings not far of but still roczen edged him. But we dont know how herlings would do over here, unfortunately he is not riding any supercross or ama nationals. Would be neat to see him more than just that one Glen helen race.

The 2011 championship was not as close as the final points make it look. Roczen clinched the title with one race to go and rode a 125 at the last race in Italy and scored a 5-DNF while Herlings went 2-1 to close up the final points gap.
Amazing how discussions pivot to utter nonsense when the dreams just don't materialize.

MX1

Nagl, Tony, Paulin, Desalle the wildcard

MX2

Jeffery, Ferrandis, Gajser. and Seewar being the wildcard.

RV around 10th overall after a few minor get offs and mistakes. Not a good track for the inexperienced with the track to make up positions especially those who push it and charge into further mistakes.

Kiss my ass!!!
C'mon Kartwheel. Show some class. The source was bang on. I saw people calling him a clown and more, but untill now he has been on the money. He said Rattray was an accident waiting to happen. Guess who was not at the gate today. He said RV was going to overdo it and would end up at around P10. Again he was right.
I don't like it, but he was right. Since i'm Belgian i was cheering for Desalle but i never wanted RV to crash out. But it looks like the source knows more of GP racing then a lot of us clowns together lol. Just be a man and admit he was right. The guys who, before Qatar, were trying to find out by how many seconds RV would destroy the competition were the real clowns.

I just hope RV is ok and that he will be at the gate next weekend in Valkenswaard. I saw him ride once in my life before (mxdn 2006) and i would love to see him ride again. btw... There will be GP's that RV will win. Not only in Glen Helen but also the one in Great Britain. But next weekend.... sorry.. Next weekend AC222 will claim the red plate.

You taking a shot at me or him? Try to be less vague.

He said Roczen edged Herlings out for the title but IMO clinching one race early is a little different scenario. Herlings was great but Roczen was better.

Villo just lost the championship. He can't afford to give up, he's not good enough for that. Damn shame for the championship in general, might as well hand over the trophy to Tony now.
Are you for real? to Tony ? So you dont see Desalle, Nagl giving him a handsfull ?
No. Desalle and Nagl won't be a match for Cairoli.
AC injured his knee last year at the mxdn. During winter, when everybody was resting, AC was travelling around because he was every time at the premiere of his movie.
He will only get better and better as the season progresses. Plus we still have Valkenswaard and Lommel coming up.

Just like today. Tony was so much slower then Nagl but in the 1st race he kept Nagl behind him and in this 2nd moto noone was going to take his 2nd position away. He is just scoring points, waiting for his moment to shine. And that will begin next weekend.

Removed the throttle? The bars broke. The front brake master cylinder and lever assembly and throttle housing are still attached to the broken off section of handlebar.

We will see. I still hope Nagl will give AC a run for his money now when rv is out of it points wise. AC is a tractor but he still had some bad races last year and its plenty of racing left. And they have beaten tony this far so i wouldnt say they are no match for tony, he is riding probably 99% but he is the smartest one of the bunch.

Well.. maybe Nagl is a match. I'm afraid for Desalle though. He really hates the sand. He will loose points next weekend and in Lommel. I hope he can keep his title dreams alive but he will need some good results next weekend.

shouldn't you hail your fellow countrymen ? Wink Nah i know AC will destroy the field in the sand. but i still think its to early to say They cant match tony, and now when there is some tension between AC and Nagl we might see some dirty riding wich can lead to mishaps.

Maybe, maybe not but he had control of the throttle the entire way through, he rolls off long before he was past 45 degrees.

It is hard to break handlebars but the bars speared straight into the ground at high speed and snapped right off. Watching the replays in slow motion you can see that end of bars flopping around but still attached by the throttle cable and brake line as the bike tumbles.

I'm glad it's a piece of a handlebar and not his lower leg.... Unsure

I'm taking a wild guess here but I think it's a different Nagl we see this year. He was on to something a few years back while he rode KTM, but then he had a few tough years.

I think he is really strong mentally this year, and I know he can ride good on all tracks including Lommel. His bike looks by far the best of all the bikes out there. I think he will give AC a real challenge including next weekend.

Will he beat him? It's not impossible. Sometimes you can't see change when it happens, but it's clear when you look back. I think something clicked for Nagl in Argentina when he caught and passed everybody.

Remember that neither Nagl or AC liked the track at Arco, they still came out 1st and 2nd.

How else would the grip/throttle and brake lever still be held together then? They are separate pieces...

It's probably just the angle of the bike when the picture was taken as the throttle cables and brake hose were holding it at that angle. You can clearly tell that the mechanic is holding onto a stub/broken off handlebar in the second pic. I just hope RV's left knee is going to be OK. Clearly it bent in the video and i'm guessing something is torn for sure. Better not be the end of his career!

BTW Costa Rica is amazing! I went down there for work once and loved it. Just wish I had time to rent a dirt bike and do some trail riding in the mountains and forests. Someday, definitely a bucket list item.

Being an Australian and therefore neutral in the US vs Euro thing, with riders in series both sides of the pond, it is clear to me anyway that the World Championship is the premier series for Motocross. As it should be.

Nagl is a great sand rider,he won a Moto before at Valkensvard on KTM,he was on form back then but not to the level he's on now and with his head being where it's at,I think could suprise AC next week, afterall its not Lommel

Confidence goes a long way and he's more comfortable with the new bike and team than ever before
