Those super thin plastic "Surgeon type" gloves under your regular gloves will keep your hands toasty even when it's stupid cold out.

when replacing bearings, place in the freezer the night before. and if possible, heat the part in question where saidbearings will be housed with gentle heat. this should ensure the bearing almost drops in with minimal effort. don't use an aggressive heat as it will compromise the material, particularly lightweight alloys.

cling film over fork stations with a liberal coating of oil reduces the chance of tearing a new seal. also ensure the seal lip is coated in oil. bearing grease can be used.

an old length of wire cable in a drill can make for a decent tool for removing bits of dried carbon after using heat to decoke a pipe (2 stroke) also a potato makes for a decent bung if using the caustic soda method

Whatever bike you run, find the Honda model that uses the same suspension components. Buy the Honda bushings and seals, they are genuine Kyb or showa and cheaper than aftermarket.

Honda also lists the oring sizes, so you can change all the suspension orings with better quality stuff at fraction of price.

Honda OEM brake pads, master cylinder etc are also very reasonable price and fit thee other bikes

Use tie wire to fix plastics (to a point). Drill 2 holes, bend wire in a U and poke through, twist on the back side. Repeat like stitches. Looks kinda cool too.

Make sure you tighten your front axle straight. Tighten axle, bang around a bit before tightening fork stay bolts. Makes fork seals and wheel bearings last longer.

I like the pam on your fenders tip... I had never heard that one.
Even better mod on the plasics: Heat the tip of the wire with a blow torch then push through the plastic. It will make the perfect size hole and not get bigger with vibrations!!

A peice of fuel line works great for starting spark plugs in the deep pockets on newer bikes. Just push the plug into the fuel line and twist it till the threads are running true. No more cross threading.
