GP of Argentina: Race day bench racing!

I have had RV pegged as a lower top ten rider from the start and caught hell, moved him up to a 4-6th after Strijbos & Searle had issues. RV is in his place.

Villopoto needs to go out there and win moto 2 after getting waxed in moto 1, just like Cairoli did last race.

Wonder if RV should've just settled for second in yesterday's quali, rather than going all out to try and catch AC?

He pretty much admitted that in Thailand, he went too hard in the qualifying race, and it left him with nothing much in the tank for the second moto. You'd think the lesson might have been learnt, but maybe not.

(Although obviously, the man has still forgotten more about how to win elite level motocross races than I will ever know, and he doesn't need to be taking pointers of Joe Sixpacks like me)

Great race though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Cairoli come out and dominate the second moto. Be fun finding out.

So general consensus is that RV is not actually a good racer unless Aldon is training him?

Is Aldon training Desalle/AC or Nagl?

There was me thinking RV was the one riding, not Aldon.

Hopefully Cairoli isn't to battered about the crash and comes out for redemption and lays the hammer down to win!

RV did get beat pretty bad which is surprising to me. But did he get beat at his best? I don't think so. Something does't seem right with him. Like someone said, never seen this RV before. If it is his best, then congrats to the guys in front cause they are good. But I still think the best of RV is yet to come.

I can sum up RV's problem with two words... Aldon Baker.

If he wants to get to the top he better get him on a red eye flight over seas Blink
That is a bold statement. Aldon is the man without a doubt but at this point in his career RV shouldn't need an Aldon Baker especially after having already worked with Aldon.

Opinions aside I hope this isn't the first volley in the "RV would have won the MXGP title if he'd had Aldon" movement. Way too early to go there.

Yup he has great style. Amazing how he can keep his elbows up so high all the time.

Great first race hopefully Villopoto figures something out and makes the 2nd moto more interesting.

What did Nagl Cairoli and DeSalle have that RV didnt ? Smoothness

These guys have mastered rolling the throttle on choppy nasty sand tracks. In RV's case less will be more.

What a fucktard like you is unable to grasp is that the best of the best never accept that they lost and "just move on". But just keep on churning out your bilge.

Fuck man your posts in this thread are embarrassing to read. Your the biggest anti-RV person I've seen in a while

I'm not anti RV, far from it. I admire the fact that he is giving mxgp a very good effort, I just enjoy the banter with the US fans who don't rate the GPs or the riders. It's all good fun, great racing and not meant to offend. Bring on the 2nd motos!!!!!

I don't ever recall a race like that for RV2.

His line selection wasn't the best, simpson gave him fits. Seemed to fade a bit at the end. Just was odd.
I've seen him ride better but he was just 4th in a GP, give the bloke a break. The other GP riders are being seriously underestimated. There will be races when it goes well for him but when it doesn`t anything top five is a good result.

I really don't think RV needs Aldon, I think he is just getting beat straight up by faster guys, or at least guys who know how to GO faster without just hammering the throttle.

Seems like to me the GP guys not only have better setups, but are just more technically sound and fluid on the bike which allows them to float around the track. Yeah, RV has probably the most raw speed out of anyone, but at what cost to his setup ? He looks like he is bulldozing through everything, which works, but not nearly as well as the smooth styles of Cairoli and Deasalle.

Speaking of Desalle, how crazy would that be if he won the whole shebang? With the whole focus being on TC and RV, it would be a great upset.

Moto 2 will be interesting, bring it on !

Is there a penalty for AC riding backwards after his crash on the track? What are the rules?

Is Aldon training Desalle/AC or Nagl?

Question for you: Why are so many Brits full of so much anti-American hate?

More than the Germans.

More the the French.

More than the Belgians. Or any other "Euros" for that matter. Which is weird because so many just love to proclaim that they "are not Euros."

Why is the stick up your asses in general so much bigger than the other GP fans when it comes to hating on Americans?
