Meeting the BMF Weston Peick @ Indy SX

Apologize for such a long post but its a great story & worth the read.

The last couple years I've been respectfully giving Weston praise on vital and usually post a picture of the BMF wallet when justified. I greatly appreciate the journey he's taken, the hard work he puts in, his personality and the fact nothing has been handed to him. In the past seven years Weston has completely transformed his body physically, and went from a none qualifying nobody to a TOP guy. It's obvious Weston is extremely tough both physically and mentally considering the hurdles he's had to clear over the years. He's came ssssooo far and quite possibly the furthest ever in the history of the sport.

So for the Indianapolis SX I purchased a BMF wallet and included in it a motivational message on a small piece of paper to pump Weston up. This was a gift for Weston and I was determined to get it to him before the race. As I walked through the pits before the last timed practice I came up to the JGR semi to see Weston had autograph line atleast 50 people deep. Signing time was ending soon and I didn't have a chance in hell to give it to him if I waited in line. So against my better judgment I cut the line and I apologize to anyone who was in line. In my defense our conversation was under a minute. I introduced myself (not as weiserguy nor did I mention vital), small talk followed & I gave him the wallet. Weston looked down @ it and muffled bad mother fucker under his breath. He looked up smiling from ear to ear and a fist bump followed. I thanked him for the brief minute & wished him good luck. As I turned to walk away I hear him say "hey want an autograph?" Although those years had passed and it wasn't what I was after I couldn't tell him no. As we walked through the pits we happened to pop out of a crowd and Weston comes by with his mechanic on his way to practice. I give him a aawwhhhooo and he gives me a crazy eyed look followed by a couple head nods. Afraid I'd miss practice I litterly had my girlfriend running back to our seats. As I sat down and took my first drink of Budweiser l nearly spit it out. Much to my delight the BMF Weston Peick was on top the board and stayed there for quite some time until ET3 took over pole position. As everyone knows Weston holeshoted and checked out for his first career heat race win! The main event showed WP23 run third for the majority of the race until he was passed by Trey Canard to end up matching a career best fourth. I loved the fact in his post race pulpcast he isn't content with just a heat race win and is still hungry for a main event podium or WIN! Not bad for being injured and for a racer most people claimed would never be nothing more than a top ten guy!

Very proud of Weston and honestly feel his best days are ahead of him. As good as he's riding that Yamaha it would be a travesty if JGR didn't make a valid attempt to keep him.

Only regret on the whole weekend is that I didn't snap a picture of Weston with his new BMF wallet. Hoping maybe Loudog could make that happen for me and post one on this thread..
