Riding half ass in the sand to confirm settings is unproductive, plus practice "play time" at Lommel is just that, play time, smooth track no serious race damage. KRT & François know that track like the back of their hand so bike settings are no mystery, RV is the mystery.
I forgot, what team is it you run again?

KRT took a 2nd behind Tony last year at Lommel so I would say François knows his "track settings." The unproven in the equation is the new talent that rides for him.. He could romp or he could flop, only race day will tell.

Why are you such a RV hater? You are the "source" of some RV hate.

Realist not in a blind patriotic denial. He could podium or not podium, simple. It's the actual act of attempting that has me impressed.

Interesting view on RV. In the sport of motocross and supercross, I am impressed with anyone who qualifies for the race program. To watch the best of those folks, is a treat. Your general attitude towards RV has been "shitty" at best.

Do you guys think "the source" believes the crap he says? Don't even try to defend RV. I sit back and laugh. It's hilarious.

Great prediction there lol! He could podium incase I'm wrong or he could not....

You could shoot your self in the face tomorrow and never post again or you could not. Be better if you did.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it. He comes on here trying to be all PC and " Right down the middle ".....but he aint. It's guys like him I enjoy rubbing it in when RV waxes everyone.

The good news is , the majority of the guys from across the pond have written him off as well. And even better news.....I don't see his account lasting too long here.

Who cares about Lommel. I bet RV doesn`t stress about it. I doubt he`ll spend all his spare time practicing there just to prove something and beat Tony in sand. It`s just one race out of 17. I bet it get`s 1/17 of RV`s attention. Only this place thinks that Lommel will show something. No, it won`t. General feeling here is that all the other races means nothing and Lommel is where the championship will be decided.

I think what RV's thinking is......he knows guys like AC are the best in the world at the sand stuff and he just wants to try and get as good of a finish as he can there ( or any sand track really ). Maybe top 3? maybe top 5? Hell who knows.

Looks like a hell of a good workout though!

well he probably should care about it a fair bit, it could very well be decided there. At this stage it's not about beating Cairoli, I believe that it'll be one of the only rounds that could separate them as at the other rounds I don't see either Cairoli or RV being off or far from the podium and whatever points he makes there could prove very valuable

I think Herlings would smoke RV and TC in lommel if they all went head to head in a 3 rider race. I know everyone loves TC but Herlings is better from what I've seen. His youth and aggression set him apart. Kinda like bubba back in the day.
Its one fuckin track. Big fucking deal, the dude was born at that track. He better be fast at it. Bring that cocky bastard to the USA and let him race on real tracks and lets see how well he does. So tired of hearing about that one track. The title will not be decided there, it will be the race before Glen Helen when RV wraps her up in the first moto I knew Mexico was good for something!

He seems pretty damn fast everywhere else also...

I'd say he's above anything we have in the 250f class out doors. It's just speculation tho. Until he comes over....

The thing is we know that Cairoli can win on any surface in any type of conditions, he's proved that over a number of years. So has RV, but he's never raced in the real deep sand that you get in Belgium and The Netherlands. My point is, I think it is important for RV to be good in the sand, because potentially he could drop more points to Cairoli in 1 round in the sand than he could make up in 3 rounds on another surface even if he went 1-1

If Barcia can get a third at Lommel in 2012 against these guys, in the last Moto where the track is the roughest, then RV will be riding for the win.

RV's got a long time to get the sand dialed and well, the guy's an animal and a Floridian too,I dont see it as all being too much of a weakness by the time that GP comes around,he should be somewhere near the front

Interesting prospect for sure, and as been mentioned before,I'd love to see Herlings race MX1 that day,MXdN part 2 Cool

Predicting race wins and performance is no more possible than arguing about what the weather conditions will be on a given day. It is most accurately predicted the day after. Wink

That's what I wanted to do, but I couldn't do it on my phone. I didn't want to troll, at all. I never mocked RV or anything, all I said was that someone who was at the track said he was 4 seconds off, no comment other than that

Talked to my friend again, says RV was faster than Bobby at HondaPark. Says RV cruised for his first laps out on track and that's probly where the lap time came from. I dunno, do what this info what you will, but yea my bud said RV looked good, and he rides Leirop, Lommel, Hondapark all the time so he has a pretty good idea what he's talking about.
