Everyone who bought them KNEW exactly what they were doing! It's not like you didn't know there where no parts available for them!! You all paid a premium for a bike that is going to be available to the public in less than six months.. You are all test dummies. That's the royalty of having the first batch of something.. So all the frustrations and complaints just make me laugh.. just my $.02

Wow, got enough hate bro? No one is complaining about anything but some graphics...

I put an hour on mine at the track last night, its worth the wait. I have a 14.5fe that I was happy with until I got the new one. The difference is significant, you will be glad you waited

Hoping to break mine in this weekend... the weather forecast is record rains as the pineapple express spends 2 to 3 days dumping on N Cali - Ore -WAAngry

Everyone who has the FE or has one on the way - you need to invest in a Li Charger. Mine was no so perky and it is charging right now. KTM should have made one part of the package!!

Would love to have an expensive call girl on call - ha!! Two wheels are much cheaperSilly Whistling

What if I told you that you can save $1000 and that your lap times won't vary with either bike?

Neither, I applaud KTM for what they are doing, good on them, doesnt mean I will go and buy their expensive bikes but I dont hate them or are jealous of them.

Got a glimpse of the 250 that came through our shop today.. It feels like a 125 when you pick it up. It feels like a mountain bike when you sit on it, it's super narrow! Don't know if i'm digging the lithium battery it comes with that only work when it's warmer than 60 degrees..

I started mine when it was 40 degrees the other morning. It has a cold starting procedure. Hold start button for 5 seconds wait 30 for battery to warm up. crank again and repeat. After a few times it has full cranking power. It baffled the hell outta me the first few times. I had to get the book out!

To all the people that say " save the money it wont help lap times," why are you hating on the way a complete stranger spends their hard earned money? I have a buddy that has a $50,000 dollar Camaro and goes to the road course track and works people in $70,000 dollar corvettes and on the other hand he gets worked by $30,000 dollar cars a. No hate talking going on. Just guys enjoying something they love and some like to spend there money in other ways. 99% of people buying these bikes and other bikes for that matter are not focused on going pro. Just enjoying their toys and time with friends.

Nobody is "hating" other than what you want to internalize.

Clearly the guy has a concern about money as he brought up the $1000. Not that hard to figure out.

Nothing wrong with saving money and nothing wrong with having the same lap times as anyone on this forum isn't gonna lower their times by buying a new bike. If anyone believes they will be faster by buying a new model, then they are clueless or have never timed themselves.

Agree regarding enjoying their new toy, but this scenario is different because cost WAS/IS a concern. If it wasn't, he never would have brought it up, right?

No one said they were going to lower their lap times. There's super rich dudes who buy a brand new Porshe 911 GT3, are they any faster then if they bought a Carrera? Probably not, but who cares? The people buying them obviously like the bike enough to shell out the extra money for it. These are guys who have some disposable income and this is what they choose to spend their money on. Hell I could ride an 85 cr125 and be just as slow, but I like new shiny things and buy them because I can. I don't think that guy is really concerned about the price. Was just saying that for $1000 he could get a new bike instantly, or he could just wait to buy the newer more expensive one.

He simply stated there was another bike in stock for $1000 less. You made the comment of (SEE ABOVE). He also stated the he would wait for a new one which implies its not about the money.

Read back through and there are plenty of comments regarding cost of this particular bike. I paid $11,400 OTD. I could of almost got 2 YZ450fs for that. Who cares?

I, remember, I'm saying I, feel that KTM's build quality is excellent and if I pay extra for something I feel is better quality or I just plain and simple want , why do people feel the need for comments in regards to price? Is that the only thing they can find negative to post?

Enough bickering about pennies. End of day, we all enjoy riding so keep that in mind!

Has anyone messed with the maps in the airbox? The comic book is not real clear on which is which. The male plugs seem to have the same 1 and 2 numbers on them. Any help would be appreciated!

Or the buyer could have waited for the new FE as it's not about price based on your rich old men theory...Just sayin.

So you're saying that by changing brands/bikes your lap times will not change? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I guarentee you hop on different bikes and you turn different times...hell all the riders in every shootout always have different lap times in the mags. Your theory looks like Swiss cheese bro.

Yes they are!

I'm a playride only two stroke guy but believe four strokes have their place as well (but not a double cc advantage in race class).

With that being said if I had the coin to own one of these as well I would be all over it. The factory editions have all been cool bikes but the latest versions are really impressive. What's the deal with the exhaust though?

In my opinion it's as about as close of a comparison to when the first elsinores came out as we have seen in a long time. Weight savings, performance, and looks all in one. The price tag stings a little but most things of this caliber do.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. Not that this quote completely fits here but there are sometimes you do get what you pay for.

For the people buying them brand new the price isn't an issue, some people don't need or want to spend 10Gs on a bike and that's fine, thats why they only make 500 of them. This is now 2 threads simultaneously that you have proved you are incapable of forming a strong and reasonable argument. Congrats, how does it feel to be mentally handicapable?

It amazes me how many people are worried about what other people spend, and why the spend it. If the bike isn't worth the asking price to you, don't buy one. If you see no benefit, don't buy it. The benefit for someone doesn't even have to be a "faster lap time." Maybe the benefit is someone enjoying some of the benefits of their hard work?

I'm not as fast as I could have been since I split my time between school, career, family, etc and didn't put it in all the time at the track working on getting faster. It's finally paid off for me in that I'm financially comfortable enough to satisfy my craving by adding one of these to my garage and paying cash for it. It satisfies my desire to have it. That's the benefit. Kind of like building the bike with whatever parts I feel like adding to it. I don't need a single one of them. But I can have them and want them, and the money will do me no good in the grave.

The envy is strong around here sometimes. It's a nasty trait to have, and I'm glad I don't have it. Congrats to everyone else, who like me, indulged in what they wanted (whatever it might be)! Enjoy your purchase!

First of all the money isn't the issue dude and I don't think it is with anyone who spending 8-10 grand on a new bike what's another 1000 for the bike you want. And for the other guy about the 14.5 fe valley motors ports of Northampton ma have one never ridden in stock as we speak. I just don't understand the people hating on this bike or Ktms in general if you don't like it stay the fuck out of the thread. For the record this is my first ktm, I've raced the 07 and 08 Hondas for the past few years and not because I couldn't afford a new bike but because it fit me better and was super comfortable on it.

Ktm Shane you said it perfectly I'm the same way I used to be full into it when I was a couple years younger now I just race all the local armature races which are still packed with fast guys. I started my own business and am able to buy it outright because I can and want to. As for old people buying Ktms im 27, and have seen more younger kids on Ktms than anything

Stop taking the bait guys, you don't have to justify buying one of these to anyone but yourselves.. And probably your wives!

Ktm has been doing a great of making the big 4 look completely incompetent.
