It's funny how many people who weren't actually there are opposed to this decision

How did they take his points away if he was unable to race?

Going off the condition the 250 guys were in when they came off the track Id say they made the right decision.....with that being said some of those guys were ridiculously gassed for being professionals.

We've had a rider die of heat stroke at a National so Carmichael and Reed can mock the decision all they want but it definitely was a smart one

I think he meant he had to watch other riders that he would normally beat earn the points he couldn't in the second race.

Another thing to add is that this is the 3rd GP of Thailand. Both previous GP's all the races went the full distance and no-one had a problem. I'm guessing that it was just a really tough and humid day. Even more so than normal

What a stupid comment from Reed and RC.

Reeds a washed up ex GP racer who couldn't handle it and RC was too frightened to come and have a go? Does what they say mean anything in real world Grand Prix motocross?

Hm, pretty ignorant tweet from RC as I don't remember him racing in Thailand. Wink

Like FIFA awarding the soccer World Cup to Qatar, a country that has an average summer temperature of 35 to 45 degrees, this seems like another example of a governing body putting profits above sporting common sense.

That kind of heat simply isn't conducive to high intensity physical activity, and at the very least they could've made it another night race (when the temperatures would surely be lower).

Normally i keep my mouth shut, but i love that since RC didn't ever race the Gps now he's a nobody and can't comment on anything related. I wonder why Roczen came over since the US super cross/Nationals are so second tier to the World Championship?

He's not a nobody. But he never raced anywhere near Thailand. So he is no position to mock those who are racing there and having difficulty with the conditions

Last year the seats were empty,at 7pm i will see if they are empty again.

Saw a picture of bikes pitted by shipping containers with no shade.

Nobody thinks this may be a bad idea to go back there in the mxgp organization?

But he never sacked up and came and give it a shot so it's a mute point.
Massive respect to RV for what he is doing.

You are absolutely right. That is piss poor planning or not giving a shit at all by the big wigs.

Sounds like the majority at the race were on board with the decision. RC and Reed should maybe just keep their condescending comments to themselves...

The MXGPs is a shady second rate series... RV2 will have to deal with corrupt politics and Anti-American bigotry while racing...

The series rookie still beat the 8- time champion...

Right after that comment from Reed he was whining via twitter about being tired from the races being too late and wanting to sleep in. Laughing

Place looked empty didn't it. Track looked like something we used to hit for shits & Giggles because know one else was there. That way we could snort Coke and smoke weed without anyone calling the cops

So when is Cairoli gooing to "sack up" and come to the US? Apparently everyone must crossover to have a complete CV... Formula one guys better start racing nascar to get a full resume.

My point is Hut commented that RC would have won..... But he never once raced a GP or in Thailand so it's all a might have.... And I apologise the correct term is moot point.
