I don't get it?

Do you guys really think the discussion about RV and GP's has been any more partisan or inflammatory then a good Chad Reed, Mike Alessi or James Stewart thread?

I don't.

Steve, I think the GP's lost about 99% of the American Vitards, after RV didn't win the first Moto. Too sad.
That's there loss and may be a good thing for us real fan/racers, it may help unload the servers some.

Wow, you guys take this shit way too seriously, considering none of you are stakeholders. Why do you people get all worked up, letting Nationalist pride cloud your thinking and turn you into childish pricks? I don't get it. Some of you sound like religious zealots, like you would behead each other if you had a chance!

Lighten up, enjoy the racing.

What Villopoto is doing by going over there is unprecedented and ridiculously difficult. It took Brad 10 long years to win the 500 title and sucked the life out of him. Has it occurred to any of you that it's a motorcycle race and all the racers are just guys who put their pants on one leg at a time, whether they are American, Euro, Aussie or Zimbabwe?

Nagl isn't going to win every GP, although watching him make it look easy yesterday gives that impression. Believe me, all of these guys are going to have off days...Cairoli had one yesterday. It doesn't make any of you more right or wrong than anyone else.

Anyone who thought that RV was going to go over there and moonwalk to the title was detached from reality and probably suffering from PPR (Patriotic Pride Retardation) of the brain. It's a horrible disorder that sometimes even affects world leaders and costs countless lives.

So let's try to remember we all came from the same stardust, whether you think it was billions of years ago, or just a few thousand...and keep the beheadings to a minimum, at least in this forum.
Glad to know there are other's that feel the same way I do. All this over the top patriotic BS is super annoying.

I'm glad he didn't win. And that's because what I feared was an RV runaway season. And that's dull.

I want a close, multi-rider battle for the championship like in 1986 where four riders were in with a shout of the title going in to the last round.

If Nagl wins again then I'll start hoping he doesn't win the next one.

I want RV up there. Along with Cairoli, Desalle, Paulin, Nagl and Van Horebeek. But I don't want to see domination from anyone.

And Bauer was spot on, as always.

Nice post Steve. Having spent A LOT of time around Mr. Lackey and his wife, trainers, mechanics, etc the last 10+ years I have heard the stories of the how different everything (therefore difficult) is chasing a GP title. Food, language travel, time zones, tracks, media, patriotic a-holes from other countries, etc.

Plus carrying practically the lone US torch (Jim Pomeroy was there on the 250).

He was the best USA had at the time and made the goal a journey. Ryan is doing the same and though it won't take 10 years, I bet even Ryan was realistic and didn't think it would be easy. Danny LaPorte won his first year but it wasn't a cakewalk either. Jobes was a tough mofo.

Just thank Ryan for being there and trying, putting more eyeballs on the GP series. (You too Euros) Smile

I love it!

What this whole topic has taught me American's 90% not all believe they are the only country that can achieve anything in the world, I believe some think America is the only place in the world.

They have no touch or sense of reality it is such a scary thing to see as America is the most influential country by design of all their BS is pushed on to every country in the world.

At the end of the day it's not their fault they are brainwashed and conditioned to this mentality.

Well there's a surprise - a sane thought on a VitalMX forum! Much better than Jeffro coming in here being a complete prima donna attention whore.

It's got nothing to do with the motocross racing at this point. It's just a bunch of Europeans sitting on an American forum, running their mouths on Americans, and some Americans are sick and tired of reading it. However, to be fair, I don't despise europeans as I realize that robgvx and his cohorts do not represent the whole.

And then you have the liberal, apologist Americans sitting here trying to encourage everyone to hold hands and sing along to "We are the World"

Newsflash: That's why we don't win 13 MXdNs in a row anymore. No hunger, no anger, no determination.

That's why I've been converted to an RV fan. I believe he is the last ruthless bloodthirsty American male that our amateur motocross program produced. Yea, there are great talents out there, for sure, but they don't remind you of Stanton, Ward, Johnson or Hannah, do they?

Fuck you Grieby!

Bauer......nice post and I agree with a lot of it. As far as I'm concerned I was giving shit back because it thrown towards us first.....but whatever. Someone says something stupid , I then counter with bullshit and then it's on from there. And as far as my " RV +30 sec thread " goes......a lot of guys on here ( including the GP fan base ) thought it wasn't all that far fetched. Even though I did post it as a fishing thread.....it showed the true colors of a lot of the posters here. I DON"T usually do things like that.....but I wanted to see what would happen.

Bottom line....some guys just go bat shit crazy here because they take it all to serious.

The easiest thing to do is just don't write anything too provoctive in the first place. If some of the more blatant trolls were clicked quicker it would save a lot of arguments.

Take MXFollower from Lithuania for example, that guy didn't write one reasonable post from the get-go.

its always an electrical problem............

I saw a press release saying that a rider went out of a race due to an ignition problem.. which technically wasnt a lie , it wouldnt spark, but only cos the motor was locked solid.
