There are just as many GP fans saying stupid stuff but you're naïve if you think this is going to be a cake walk for RV or that it's guaranteed he wins the championship. I think most would agree RV is the biggest threat to Cairoli in a while, but it's RV's last year in a totally foreign series. RV's training routine that helped him win all his championships in the US is totally different, the tracks are different, traveling is different, etc... If Cairoli was coming over to race in the US then I think it would be a different story, but this is Cairoli's back yard, and a championship he knows how to win.

The entire world is Cairoli's back yard?

I don't think the travel will be a huge deal...he's been travelling all over America for his entire life...and America is twice (three times?) the size of Europe (where MOST of the GP's are held), with one more time zone...Texas is almost as big as Europe. PLUS, he'll have on average two weeks between races to deal with the jet lag, and test for the next events. As for the food...he's not going to be eating out of food trucks or road side stands...I wouldn't be surprised if all the food he is used to eating is shipped from race to race so there is no variance in his diet, and if not, his team will make sure he gets what he needs at each event. Baker is on call...He'll have two days to learn the tracks/set up before the racing starts...

And above all, Ryan isn't the kind of rider that really thinks about things too much...he's a "get on and pin it" kind of rider...if anyone in America can deal with the changes, its Ryan.
2 weeks between races? Jetlag flying in Europe? How many GP's have you attended and how much traveling have you done in Europe? The majority of GP riders are under contract ride their County's Championship series during the season also or are at local tracks for setup/testing on the 2 days between traveling. Clueless?

Rv was winning championships before he got on Aldons training routine.

It doesn't matter what the "majority of the GP riders are under contract to ride"...Ryan is NOT under contract to ride any national championship...all he's doing is MXGP.

So Ryan will have, on average, two weeks (look at the schedule...there is two, sometimes 3 weeks, between most races...with the exception of those back to back races in Europe) to travel and test and all the other stuff. .

Is every state in the US RV's back yard? No, but the point I was making is that Cairoli knows the tracks whereas RV doesn't. Cairoli has won the championship 8 times. Don't you think the odds would be in RV's favor if Cairoli came to the US to race the nationals? Just wait for Glen Helen and tell me RV doesn't have an advantage because he knows that track well.

And if you listen to riders who have actually done what RV is about to do (i.e. Reed on the Pulpmx show this week), they say exactly what I'm saying. The riding is the easy part - it's all the little things that matter to make sure he is comfortable and able to do what he needs to do.

I think RV will win the championship. I just don't think he's going to lap the field and dominate like some are suggesting/trolling.
Many of the tracks are new,Lommel is Cairoli's backyard but places like Qatar,Thailand,Argentina,Assen,Mexico,USA and maybe a couple more won't be too familiar,if at all,Cairoli will still have the advantage of most of the European tracks though

As Titan says,RV will have 2 days to handle things whereas it's all on 1 day at the Nationals, home track knowledge is worth more.It will still be tough as each place can be very different, many hate going to Lommel, while Cairoli actually struggles at some of the hardpacks.Food is much broader today too

I have a few streams,as do others I'm sure,that won't be a problem Smile

I am laughing my ass off reading this thread..... I read that Europeans literally project RV2 to finish 3rd or worse in the MXGPs. And when the conversation is strictly about AC222, many of them state Herlings is faster and Everts is flat out better (in regards to Herlings to be the man, you need to beat the man). The bottom line, AC222 is on of the best all time motocrossers in the world. Bar none. Villopoto, who is arguably one of the best riders is headed to Europe. This is a fucking treat for all involved..... two of the best all times going head to head. My pick is RV..... however, this will be his greatest challenge. May the best man win.

Do you think you'll end up blaming the 350 for why TC gets smoked?
2/25/2015 11:07pm
He's been winning championships for 4 years on the 350 so that would be pretty pathetic so no. If RV does win ill hold my hands up and give him the credit he deserves I just don't think over the season anyone will be as consistent as cairoli. He is like dungey but with the speed of villopoto

What's gonna happen if it's not just cairoli that's beating villopoto? Are you lot gonna come up with every excuse under the sun or will the gps finally get the credit they deserve.

I think that's a minority, some react fighting fire with fire,I sure wouldn't know which way to bet right now,RV is one of the greatest riders the US has ever produced, possibly the best ever,he's had great preparation, his ideal teammate,a house near the sand tracks etc,it's the real deal alright,AC is awesome over a championship,Paulin and Desalle have had seasons cut short when they've seriously tested him but this should be his biggest yet,it'll be down to those two

As for AC and Herlings,as someone who's seen them both race,I'm the same as so many in the same position in thinking they'd qo with Herlings right now,the guy is incredible, hopefully you'll get to see him in the US this year

Here's an important question: What are the different ways we can watch Qatar other than CBS (television)? Do we have to pay Luongo to watch it online or is someone going to be a hero and put it on youtube like the Sx races?
if you look up CBM racing on facebook, twitter or dailymotion he is going to do it in HD

he will provide you with a login to a remote server to DL the races from

I think he wants a very small donation (few quid) which is more than fair enough, he always gets the races done pronto and in great quality, he has been my SX and MX source for years when not available via TV or live

certainly worth looking up - he used to be on here but i've not seen him around in years
2/26/2015 5:25am
If someone explains how you do it ill try to do it its on live in the UK
can be done via the livestream app I believe bud

for me my PC is nowhere near powerful enough to pull off such magic

happy to have Sky and MotorsTV

You don't even have proper electric so shut up with your 110v crap
HaHa, that's pure comedy coming from a Brit! You guys would still be pushing your Lucas electronics equipped Jaguars around in the dark if it wasn't for German Bosch and American Visteon!

You obviously haven't been paying attention....the way RV has beaten Dungy is because he was consistently faster....This place would be much better if you and Keyboard would stop trolling each other...it's getting old.

Don't pay mind to him, he's just a young tick on Cairoli's nut sack.

None of them are immune to crashes. Maybe RV crashes a little bit more than Cairoli, but nowhere near enough to label him as a crasher, JS7 is a crasher. You can't point out the strengths of the other 2 and then only the weakness of Villopoto.

I think that Cairoli will win this title, but it will be incredibly tough for him

I don't agree with you often...but that post is right on the money.

Baring injury...this SHOULD be an incredible championship fight...or one of them will be even faster than we expect and make it boring. lol
