I said it was a fluke. How many times - if ever - have you seen the same scenario played out?

Answer: Never

Hence it was a fluke. Never said Reed was innocent of anything. Just that it was a bad combination of actions that made it look a lot worse.

Newsflash Ladies:

I am not sure if they informed any of you down at the bingo hall, but TAKE OUT MOVES ARE A PART OF SX RACING

Everyone needs to understand that (or just stick to bingo)

How often does a guy have a hand off the bars on the track in the middle of a race?

If he had both hands on the bars and Reed still cleaned him out then fine ... throw the book at him.

I'm merely pointing out that it was Canard's hands being of the bars and not the force of Reeds contact that caused the whole fuss. Bad luck and bad timing. It was a fluke combination of actions.
So it was canards fault to have hands off the bars fixing his goggles? Your logic is just ridiculous. How do you know he would not have went down with both hands on the bars? He went after another rider and put him on the ground, and got what he deserved. And is being a vagina and trying to get lawyers involved.

As usual the Reed 'dislikers" slant things their way.

As EVERYONE could see it was just bad luck and bad timing that Reed happened to 'bump' Canard while Canard had one hand off the bars playing with his goggles. Clearly the initial bump would not have done much if Canard had both hands on the bars. I highly doubt Gallagher would have done much as well if Canard had stayed up.

So if it was mainly a bump is Reed really the incarnation of Satan? There has been plenty of bumping and rubbing in the series so far. The main difference is the 'bumpee' in those cases has had both hands on the bars.

YES, Reed clearly intended to go after Canard. But if he had done the exact same thing and Canard had both hands on the bars and merely bobbled for a moment ( but did not crash ) would anyone still be talking about this?

Yes, lots of conjecture and what if's in my post, same as what yours had

Fact is, no one will try this again due to the precedence it has sent to all riders, thats got to be a good thing in the end doesnt it? And regardless of whether Canard had one hand or not on the handlebars it was dangerous and reckless and stupid
Reed said he would do it again.

there would be a lot less people with their panties in a twist and a deeper hate for Reed.

hell, even after the guy wins a race you get fuckin' turds saying he only won because Tomac this, Roczen that, Dungey this... pathetic that people have to try to discredit anything these racers do just because they don't like the rider.

Does that say it was Canard's fault?

Did I ever say Reed was innocent?

Quit trying to twist everything to suit your view of things. The point I'm making is clearly over your head.

And that was after Reed said it was a bonehead move on his part.

Sounds logical doesn't it?

He got what his actions deserved, like it or not.

Well the way you have it worded says that canard fell because his hand was off the bar, not because chad hit him. If chad had not hit him, he would not have fallen...end of story

well lets face it mate, Reed made the decision to do what he did, unfortunately for him he got a black flag, so of course you will get a public backlash when someone does something like that eh?

I dont think there is a deeper hate for Reed, perhaps more of a dislike, but hate...too a stronger word man

Then he goes out last weekend and smashes a good win, good for him, his team and his supporters, may of helped get some of the like back to him too.

If they thought it was bad enough to black flag, they probably would have DQ'd him after the race, so he'd have the same points he has now.

If canard thinks th black flag was a bad call can't we just go with that?

Pretty sure he'd have a better idea than all of us.

I don't think anyone is close yet. Obviously if Canard never took him out there would have never been a black flag and Chad clearly went on to win that race.

The confidence gained from the race win would have propelled him onto a winning streak that would still be going. Atlanta one would have been just another win instead of his first and he would be celebrating taking over the red plate this weekend instead of his win.

But dam it, things just did not turn out that way and he now sits 7th.

Given that Canard was passing him (when they came together in a racing incident - no takeout) then somehow I doubt he would of won that race

Would Chad be better off without the black flag? Seems to me he got pissed off after the black flag and hasn't been quite the road block he was before that.
