Anyone used or is using a Renthal Twinring spocket?

Thinking about picking one of these up. Are they worth the money?

Have used it on my last two bikes. Ran them on all my wheelsets. If you switch between several wheels make sure to not run on wheel to long (so the sprockets wear equally) and change the chain and front sprocket regularly and you will get a full season out of two sprockets.

Yes, ran one on the boys' CRF 250, showed no signs of wear at all , even after a few mud races and sand tracks.. worth the extra.

If you are considering a twin ring, checkout the Ironman sprocket. It's normal to get 2 or more seasons out of one

Ironman? Not heard of them but I'll definitely look them up.

I run iron man sprockets on all my practice bikes and woods bikes, the fronts aren't too much better then a normal sprocket (they are better though) but the backs are worth every penny, I can get about 80-100 hours out of one.

Chain will wear out on the iron man or the twin ring before the sprocket. Satisfied with both.

Believe the ironman sprocket is from MSR. Renthal twinring, Supersprox and ironman are all good sprockets

The Ironman is 1pc, Twinring and Supersprox are held together by rivets. I know which one I'd choose.

I know which one my brain would choose too , but i have never heard of any issues with the Renthal stuff at all.

We are due a set on the 450 now, am going to run a Renthal O ring chain too, never run O ring on the SM bikes because of the power loss, but for MX they are worth the extra if you are going for the Steel spocket.

Unless you put your bike away wet and dirty, there's never a need for O-ring chain IMO. Those things are so god damn heavy.

I had one on my 450, looked good when I sold the bike after 30+ hours use.
I need a new drive set for my 250 smoker and this is what I'll be putting on.

I run o-ring chains on my practice bike and 450, they last twice as long if not more compared to a non-oring and dont stretch nearly as much.

At the shop I worked at, id say the ironman and Twinring had the best reviews but the SuperSprox had fitment issues on certain bike models. All those heavy duty sprockets work great but for the money you cant beat the stock steel on some bikes.

Well we do that a lot, last race done , bike in the hauler, get home.. bike might not get looked at till friday.

On the SM bike you save every ounce you can , we even ran used road race chains that were super light , different wheel bearings , no outer seals , a lot of attention to brake bind and the like, the bike rolled like a push bike, and all the guys we put on it remarked how it ran through the turns ... its free horsepower.

The MX bikes dont get the same level of care, we just want them to run when we get them out , and not wear out too quick.

After 20hrs of use, mainly on a river sand MX track, my Twinring shows no wear. Even the nickel plating on the loaded side of the teeth is still there.

I use a D.I.D ERT2 and Maxima Chain Wax fwiw.
