You know.....the sport moves on without certain riders. I'm from the NW and have been a fan of RV's for a long time.....but honestly I don't really miss him out there. These younger dudes like Kenny , Eli , Anderson , Seely , Baggett , ect have my attn now.

Funny how some guys will say " I'm just not into the racing this year since my favorite rider isn't there "

Are you a fan of this fucking sport.....or just a single rider?

Me?.....I'm a fan of the sport and if one or two guys can't be there.....then so be it! Racing goes on.
^^This right here. I love the sport. While I might be bummed from time to time when a high profile rider leaves, there's always someone new who walks in the door. I am completely stoked by all the young talent digging their heels in right now. We're going to have some damn fine racing in the next several years.

Edit: Nobody's running away with the season. Dungey's my favorite, but a 12 point lead can vanish into thin air very quickly. Now, if he was like McGrath and had an 80 point lead by now, I'd say he's running away with it.

I am a fan of the sport. But on the professional level, I guess I am only a fan of a few riders.

You don't have to feed on everything they shove down your throat to in order to interested in something.

You are both idiots. This thread is not about favorite riders. You brought something up that the thread wasn't about in order to make a point.

I guess we should just hand Dungey the trophy because he has been so dominant this entire year. Every rider on the gate lines up knowing that Dungey is the man they are going to have to beat if they want a W. The championship is basically over and we're not even at the halfway mark yet. I mean, what could possibly happen?

I do not miss RV at all. he didn't want to be there anyway, and I dont think him participating would make the racing any better because from my experience RV gets into 1st place by the 2nd lap and the race is over for everybody. and I am really excited to see what he will do in the GPs.

definitely missing stewart though.. there's nobody else that can ride a bike like he can. he may not always cross the finish line in first at the end of 20laps but he can do things out on the track that you do not get to see when he isnt there.

We got 4 guys right now who could win on any given night, that is good enough for me.
