Really? Your gonna compare a guy who took one year to be faster than Paulin? Your just mad that the greatest overall MX/SX talent from Europe since JMB did not stay in Europe. Roczen won GP's on that POS Suzuki, enough said!
What? I like Roczen, and I'm really glad that he went to America to kick some ass, there's no denying his talent. I just think Paulin would be good at SX in the states. He didn't start racing MX properly until he was 13/14, so by the time you're saying that Kenny was better than him by, Roczen had probably already been riding longer than Paulin

Comparing Roczen to Paulin is like comparing Roczen to Villopoto. Both super good but one has just that little something that makes him above the other. That little something that is a huge step of improvement...

I'm sure when the GP's start this is how it'll go.

If RV wins Qatar.. Europeans - "OH WELL CAIROLI GOT A BAD START"
If RV wins Qatar.. Americans - "WE TOLD YOU SO WE TOLD YOU SO"

If RV loses Qatar.. Europeans - "HAHAHHAHAHAHA"
If RV loses Qatar.. Americans - "JUST WAIT JUST WAIT"

Eurofighter is talking about all the pre-Lommel comments some guys over there were banging on about, like Baggett and Dungey winning, guaranteed pothere'slaughing about the excuses that were going to make etc and bragging on

Same here about RV ,countless posts about him destroying the feild and his perfect season, something Euros on here never shout about before races, there's a difference between that and debating, comparison and banter

Oh the irony of the post above

I remember Blake Bagget winning more nationals in the AMA than the 2006,09,10 and 11 MX2 world champs combined.
I remember Blake winning as many nationals in one year as Marvin has in his entire AMA career of lites racing.
I remember Blake winning more lites races in a row than Roczen has lites wins.
I remember High Point where Blake was 3 seconds a lap faster than the 08 MX2 world champ.
I remember Blake winning more than double the races in a season(2012) than the 09,10 and 11 MX2 world champ did that year
I remember watching a guy who won 14 MX2 races (Searle) not be able to win a single moto in the AMA.

I could keep going, if anyone wants to challenge me....
You can't really debate like that as its Baggetts awesome record in his home championship against migrating riders competing

There's no opposite comparison of how he'd do in MX2,the only Euro races Bagget has done,he's been soundly beaten, even demolished by Roczen,Musquin and Searle

Parkboy, Paulin was really good, go back and watch some races... Better than kenny? Not sure, but Kenny didn't go from 0 to winning straight away in sx, there were definitely some growing pains.... Paulin could have done it for sure, he's technically gifted enough without question, Bmx background too....

I really don't understand anyone calling this championship before the races have been run. It's either blind optimism or plain old stupidity. Two great champions and a handful of near greats are about to throw down. It's a win/win for all fans of the sport. I'm American so of course I'd love to see RV take the crown but I'd NEVER root against any rider. May the best man win...no matter the nationality. I know there's old timers on here that remember when the euros first came here and showed us how fast a dirt bike could be ridden....I don't remember anyone hating on those guys. We were so stoked. Times have changed but I have a familiar excitement to see how our best stacks up against the foreigners. Can't wait.

They've had an Aussie and a French one too, and a Dutchy won the first supercross title didn't he? Who cares!

In fairness I don't think he choked at Lommel. He just struggled a bit in the sand.

It was a joke cool guy. Please show me one post where I said anything derogatory about the MXGP series or it's riders. Or one post where I said RV will even win. You won't find it so save your time. I will however "troll" any idiot that comes on this forum and repeatedly shows hatred for the American series or riders. You can say whatever you want about the country itself because there are millions here and all your assumptions (generalizing here, chill cool guy) about American citizens only apply to a small minority. There are as many useless excuses for a human being here in the USA as you will find anywhere so you wont find me waving the flag unless someone is trying to blow me up or talk shit about moto. Good day, bro.

That is true, and I would almost wish that you guys did. Im a huge simpson fan here and it was devastating that that happened to him of all people. Still love watching him destroy Lierop in 13.

Also, if your gonna say "We were only a broken chain away from beating you to 3rd overall last year though" , don't hate on the americans when they bring up certain "excuses" for the last 3 years.

Furthermore, those hating on Baggett, just remember how the qualifying went at St Jean, he did pretty damn well that day.

I guess only the Dutch are allowed to comment on a Herlings thread then,is that what you're saying?

Let us Brits know where and when we can chime in,I was hoping we could comment on stuff regarding what we regard as "our" series, afterall some of you guys over there claim the AMA is better and Roczen is one of "theirs" now,it gets kinda confusing Blink

It does get confusing, and I am not the one saying the things you mention (AMA being better).

I just find it funny that if ANYONE but USA wins, its a victory for every other country. Also how convenient it is for those who have selective memory and only focus on the last 3 years. The above photo sheds light on how it went up until that point. We have France, Belgium, and Germany winning, yet the UK are the ones celebrating these last three years the most. Your definitely correct, confusing indeed.

So wait, you are saying the USA has won 22 out of 34 MXoNs??? (and I know there were more MXoNs held, but since the USA has been represented)

And a 13 year win streak at one point???

Sums up the entire argument in one screen shot. Wow.

Thanks!

I have no problem with anyone justifying why their team didn't perform well at the Nations. I've always maintained that to do well at the MXdN a team must avoid bad luck. Other teams chances were regularly scuppered by bad luck over the years when Team USA dominated, but in 2012, 13 & 14 they finally encountered some of their own. I don't mean that they had it coming to them, it was just bound to happen at some point, even if it did seem to take rather a long time for the rest of us!

It's because Europeans are usually addressed as a whole, so we respond as such.

"RV's gonna crush the Euros"

"RVs going to hand those Euros their asses"

"Those Euros better know what they're in for"

"Euro whiners"

"Eurotards"

"We all know he's goin to kick some euro ass!"

"The GPs are scond rate!"

"Europe sucks"

etc etc
