At LLs I'd pray to the lord god of moto to rain before my motos . Love it right like that, if you can set your gear up and see and set your bike up to finish you got half the field beat right there.

I remember being at that race, I must have been 10 at the time! I remember the main thing that allowed Stewart to win that race was jumping the step-on step-off right they crossed in front of the starting gate. I remember Ricky was only able to jump on, not off, and it was costing him big time each lap. We had a serious string of mudders after that it seemed like, we always brought rain gear even if the weather was supposed to be sunny! I'll never forget parking in those huge warehouses right along the water and setting up all of our ramps for scooters and bikes inside away from the rain, those were some awesome times! I really wish they would bring the race back to SF, I liked that venue a lot better, not to mention the improvement in location. . .
