Went in the Army right outta high school. Senior year was voted most likely to be incarcerated so......it was a good move for me. Job was a 45E, M1A1 main battle tank turret mechanic. Served a total of 4 years, 8 months, got extended beyond original 4 year enlistment due to the Gulf War. Some of the best memories of my life for sure!

Currently active duty Army MOS 12P Prime Power Production Specialist, i.e. medium voltage electrician power plant operator. I have 10 years in; did 5 of that in Hawaii and am currently stationed at the White House.

25 years 10 months in the U.S. Coast Guard. 11 years as an aviator (AT) serving as a flight mech on 2 different helos and as a Navigator on a fix wing. Did the remainder as an Engineer after OCS. Great times! Learned that flying can be dangerous...

19 years active Army, I can see the white flag from here! And just want to add how cool and humbling it is that my favorite sport would take time to pay tribute to those in uniform!

7 years Navy - aviation side. My son just finished his active tour in the Army. He did one tour in Afghanistan. He elected to stay in the reserves and now he is a full-time college student - all paid for by the U.S. Army.

I see the scroll in your avatar, I was in A 2/75 from 82-86, had some buddies that left to go stand up 3/75 at Benning, the first year there they were hating life Smile

We stopped at Benning coming back from Reforger in 84 for the Regimental activation ceremonies, Hard to believe that was just over 30 years ago.

Strongly considering joining the nurse corps. I appreciate the sacrifices made by all U.S. military. Thank you all. The decision is extremely tough and it takes a spectacular person to commit their lives to servitude in protecting every citizen good and bad of this great country.

Thank you for your service.

It's honestly pretty cool to see how many Marines are on Vital. I saw a ton of Marines send twitter pictures on during the last race as well. Where the hell are you guys? Everyone I ask around here looks at me like I have a dick on my forehead when I ask if they watch dirt bike racing...

Just got back from spending the weekend in North Carolina with the youngest son who just got back from overseas. Been in Spain with the VMM264 Black Knights and spent a few months in Liberia kicking some Ebola ass. Funny how as soon as the Marines landed the whole Ebola scare all but dried up. Just their mere presence cures diseases...lol. Was glad to see him out of Africa. Had to do 21 days quarantine in Germany but got released on New Years eve. To be a 20 year old turned loose in Berlin on new years eve. Laughing

My unit was with them. Wherever that nightmare of an osprey goes, they need c-130 support.
