The hell of it is I've got Autocad and drew it in 3D but my software seems to have a glitch and I couldn't get a printable copy so I did the caveman drawing.

My builds almost done, tank graphics were a joke, not sure if I'll get another set or not. Bike wasn't meant to be an exact replica, just a nice bike.

Nice ride man, looks sweet. Thanks for taking the time for the sketch, I had a look at my stock one today, and the adjustments will just make the fit that much neater. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Cheers Jim

Nine1seven may be able to help with some graphics dude, would just finish her off nicely!
My build is sitting at our local Honda Bar and I'm getting withdrawals from my baby not being around Smile

Chuck I think Justin meant the Plasticwerks plates are rarer than rocking horse shit, not the UFO ones.

Harv the UFO plates are available in Australia and should be available in NZ but you'd have to check with your NZ UFO importer. The part number is listed in this thread somewhere...

Re: radiator louvers,

I had one stock one I got off ebay but for the life of me have had no luck finding a second. I saw that someone else used a 125 louver so I got one of those. I tried to cheap out and re-use the steering head bearings I had but they were chit so while swapping them I could take a nice clean picture. You can see the overall difference in the head on shot, I used thick 3m # plate back ground paper to close up the openings on the outside.

The inner tabs need to be cut in 1/2 on the insides, that way the ribs don't bow when installed. I cut the outer tabs also but after doing it I'm not so sure they needed to be cut at all.

Perfect? no, but good enough for a weekend rider. I might cut up another louver and pop rivet plastic where I put the 3M but still hoping I'm going to run across one last 250 louver.

Hi, I am looking for forcellona Cr 250 1996 and I see some good price 125 97. Do you know the difference between the 97 125 swingarm than that for 95-96 125 and 250 since the first has different code.

I don't know if it will fit. It has a different part number and the 250 frame is different to the 125 also. I would imagine that suspension linkage mounts would possibly be different too.

You might have to try and find a cheap used 125 swingarm to try it yourself. If it doesn't work just relist the swingarm for sale again.

I know of a brand new NOS OEM CR250 92-96 swingarm for sale but the price is RIDICULOUS....€700!!!!!

These plates were removed and sent to the zinc platers with the hardware.

and after...

Rear axle was re-zinced. Chain guide and rubber block are new OEM parts. Axle blocks are new OEM parts also. Chain slider, washers and screws were all new OEM parts on the first rebuild.
Hi,i have new question.
Is possible interchange swingarm Honda Cr 250 1996 with swingarm Honda Cr 125 1997?

WOW that is cool! Lots of great stuff there. Team style sprocket, check. Old type frame guards, red cloth Renthal bar pad, maybe kitted forks (looks like anodized caps)? That is a super-duper neato bike you have there sir.

I just bought this carbon fibre effect paint kit from Super Cheap Auto. I'll try it on my stock white airbox and if it works well I'll also try it on a muffler body too. Will post before and after pics once done.

Pretty sure they're the KYB kit forks that HoT ran in 95/96 aren't they James?

Hello.
I still need your help.
I was trying to swing my Honda Cr 250 1996 and found new stock reserve.
Problem that seller has not and does not tell me Honda code accurately.
I asked for a photo and report Kz3m and Kz3 K2o.
You think it's fair to this swing??
Thank you.h

I saw that. There's a thread about that ad in Moto Related.

We're thinking just a replica.

David I'm not 100% certain what that swingarm is off. The mark on the top of the swingarm in the cast section is the same as mine

However the mark inside the swingarm, mine is KZ3N whilst yours is KZ3M. KZ3 is the CR250 designation. I'm thinking the M on yours MIGHT indicate a 91 model, whilst the N might indicate a 92 model, which ran through until 96

Stock rims were Takasago which is same as excel but they didn't have the logo on them. Tires were Dunlops K-something but those models are long gone Smile

Do you have a whole bike to start with, or are you just starting out with a set of hubs and an old motor?

Noice !

Hey MC, new radiators there or did they also receive a refurbish. Are you sodablasting everything, is that the secret?

Dogger is going to have some serious competition in the 'meticulous attention to detail stakes'. Keep rocking on, my budget build is coming along ever so slowly at the moment. Got a friend going over and replacing all my bearings (i just dont have the time at the moment to do it myself. )

Thanks.

The radiators are not new no. They were really straight when I bought the bike. I just painted them with hi-temp aluminium and they came up a treat.

A lot of stuff was sodablasted. Look back through the thread for pics. I got the motor, swingarm, carby and other misc bits done. It works pretty good actually.

My motor has nothing on Dogger's. His motor is a work of art...
Hey col,

When you painted your radiators did you paint over the fins, or mask them off and just paint the tank and body? My radiators aren't bad either, l/h is a little worse than right. I've cleaned and blasted the tanks and can't get the light shade of brown out of the fins.

I'm guessing a really light coat of silver might help?

Cheers Jim

Also has anyone tried a set of the Chinese radiators for a 96 yet, They obviously sell quite a Few of them on ebay.

I've heard good and bad reports about fitment on different models Yamaha's and ktms, but no one with a 96 CR250?

Any preference for Winner or GPI brand?

I priced getting mine re-cored in Australia and it was $380 per side, too rich for me.

All the Chinese rads I've tried have failed, fit incorrectly or both. You get what you pay for.
