Whoever said they have to thank every sponsor on the podium anyway? Like you said, he won 3/4 races. So his bike & gear for lots of RV time. People are talking about his team & sponsors. He even thanked HO's sponsors tonight. I think they have maximized their marketing with him winning & having the red plate. People will cry about anything these days. Smh. Dizzy
It's the fact that he is doing the opposite of thanking his sponsors. He is saying I CAN'T thank them. Why the team hasn't gotten him to correct this is baffling to me.

Another great ride for him though none the less.

...Cooper has been taking lessons from Villopoto, he used to do that every week.

Where are the parents of these young men to correct their podium speech syntax and grammar issues? Oh wait - the parents aren't much more educated then their kids...

Eli Tomac stands out as one of the few articulate riders, parenting skills are on display with that kid...

Jesus is gonna take away those wins without proper Thanks, gosh dang it!
Jeez, maybe you should start with some grammar education in this joint, instead of SX winners?

I'm not a grammar police type of guy, but some of the guys in here post like they have a 5th grade education and I'm cringing the whole time reading their posts.

Or is it these guys are posting from an old "flip phone"?

This is exactly my point.
I realize 99 % of Vitards don't give a shit who, how or even IF the sponsors are thanked...
But do the Team Managers even LISTEN to what their guy just said on TV?
How about the Sponsers themselves? Or Parents?
Not that this is Grammar School or anything, but if you're going to Thank them, do it right ffs!
And riders make mistakes, I totally get that.... but repeatedly? Wow...

In a time where every rider is looking for sponsorship money, some of these kids are really dropping the ball.
Perhaps the Energy drink companies are going to be the only sponsor soon enough.

I trust you've noticed Cooper Webb is the current 250 points leader, has won two main events and has been on the podium nearly every race this season? I'm fairly certain Webb's team and sponsors are perfectly happy with what he's doing. What he says on the podium is about the single most inconsequential aspect of his performance thus far.

Get off the asinine high horse. It's irrelevant to anything.

Maybe some day they'll run the sponsors names across the bottom of the screen or better yet put up a graphic showing the rider's sponsors so we can heard about the race not a speed talking sponsor read out. I would much rather here answers to questions like:

1) Did you come close to taking any soil samples?
2) What was the hardest part of the race for you?
3) etc

Tpog is correct. However, in this case, Coop didn't thank The Lord Jesus Christ. Actually, he said that he can't thank the Lord Jesus Christ...

You guys are funny defending Webb. If for no other reason he should say it right so he doesn't look stupid. LMFAO at people who think it's okay for him to keep saying it wrong instead of having somebody correct him.

I'm GONNA show all you fockers the proper way to thank sponsors next weekend!
Uh, wait...next weekend is my Daughters figure skating dealio, and the following weekend, our Snowmobile Invasion, so I may have to miss the next 2 rounds, BUT... the following weekend (Atlanta?), you will see an Old Dude on a 2-stroke (with "Can't Thank Visa ENOUGH" on my buttpatch!) on the podium, doing it right...
Best start some cardio now, hehe

The list of thankees is so long he forgets the "enough" at the end. He should insert it sooner.

I can't thank everyone enough. My parents, the Lord JC, Sponsor1, Spornsor2, Sponsor 3.

Edit: whoops, keyboardwarrior beat me to it

Off topic, but you should be proud of Trey for his profession of faith on the podium. Kudos for your parenting. I would be happy beyond words if my kids were to grow up like that.

Agree 110% Mrs Canard. I am not Christian and my beliefs are probably way out in left field for most people. I will never repress someone's religious beliefs especially if it leads to one living in a higher vibration. Where I connect with someone like Canard is his spirituality and passion for his journey. Canard, Webb, Ricky Johnson are all good people

No, he left out "enough". That is the primary point. I assume most posts are in jest, we all know that the "enough" is implied.

Now THAT is how you do it!!
Crash in practice, race to the front in the Main, win, and thank your Sponsors PROPERLY!
Thank YOU Cooper Webb, hehe.
On the Podium, he mentioned he got some heat from "back Home"... perfect, lol.
Either that, or he reads Vital...
Impressive to say the least :-)
