Does a Mad Chad prove something tonight?

1/24/2015 10:14pm
He looked fast and was on track for second until he jumped off the track.Glad he had some shocking moments as he gets fired up when he makes mistakes.

I think he has afew more podiums in him, but he needs the starts first. He isnt able to fight through traffic like he used to. Plus theres 5 or 6 guys as fast him as him or faster.

I think Reed rode shit, but his attitude is what got him on the podium.

Right form the first turn he held it wide open all the way around the outside and had the inside for the next corner - then made some super quick aggressive passes before settling in.

Over jumping....coming up short....jumpin off the track.

Something is wrong see my post above.

Not down siding the landings , dabbing leg in corners...

He will get it. His team is too good not to.
Yep agree... He's been pretty notchy this season but no one looked good on that track, saw Canard have some sketchy moments too.

If you watch A2 again, he actually looked really good behind Millsaps, flowed a lap or two, then Dungey squeaked him, then he came back... It's there, just not quite 2nd nature, I'd say he just needs tonight to get some momentum and it'll build.

Liked Ellie's post too. 40 points back, let's do this.

Yeah that's always his tactic on turns that go one way and snake back on the start. Start on the box, hold it and come in the 2nd one tight... Was good too that he hit that corner hard because he got through there good and was smooth that section all night.

It's coming!

Reed needed a podium to build on, and I'm glad to see the vet still has it, even with his mistakes he had a good finish. Great to see Reed and Canard shake hands also. Good night of racing, just hope KR has some teeth left after what looked like a chin slapper.

I don't get it.

He should be pretty comfortable.

Just run last years settings. The bike is the same is it not?

Only thing different is the Pirellis but that can't be fuckin with his timing?!?!

He looks notchy in corners to me, like the bike is standing up on him a little, he looked to be able to slide really easily last year and actually looked better on the really slick stuff at the Anaheim races than the comp...

Pirelli's have been struggling there apparently but have caught up now according to Shorty/JT/Brayton... So maybe it's just a set up thing and getting some comfort.

He had a great result tonight

With the chances he took in the first few laps I'd say Reed still has that fire in his belly...and the ability to back it up. I look for him to get stronger and faster through the rest of the season.

Big Reed fan and great result tonite but definitely was having some issues like Emig mentioned. Not smooth at all in some places.
If he wants to continually be up front then he needs to start top 5, at least for now.

He still looked a little unhappy in the interview and on the podium to me. Awkward tension with the three podium winners talking afterward as well. Glad to see Canard come over and the two of the shake hands.

An unhappy Chad is a good thing for the fans, he seems to work much harderbwhen he is unhappy with how he rides.

Yah, he was super disappointed with third, shit man, after midpack for how long? . .

Third should be like 1st!!!!! I'd be smiling like Trey!!!!!

And that handshake was. . . AWKWARD.. . . .

At least Dungey gets it....

Chad had first. . . for a minute.

He won't do better than tonight for the rest of the year. My guess

LOL. . . Ezza, Chrusha, JeemCEE, Old-Mate?

It's just my opinon guys, I really think his time has passed.

If he wins I'll gladly eat my words and toast in ur honor. . .

It won't happen, he's lost the leader of the pack

3rd place, had 2nd in the bag and kept Canard honest. Not bad for a washed up old man... Maybe it will gain some respect around here, but I doubt it

What made me notice it more was him dabbing his foot a few times in different corners. He doesn't do that.

Yeah was a bit of that, but that dirt was soft and honestly I saw Canard and Dungey have a good few moments too and we saw a lot of crashes else where... Listening to post race and JT states Chad was feeling good in the middle before he went off track so maybe it's coming around. Either way I'm just glad to see him get the ball rolling!

I have to eat my crow, a huge Reed fan but I was certain his podium days were over. It still appears Canard, KR have him covered though

When you get older it takes longer to get your speed back, if he can say healthy he will get all the way back to his fast self.
