When can i buy aftermarket suspension for a RM 250 2008? I´d like to try Öhlins or Showa a kit suspension but it's really difficult to find in Europe for the RM 250. And i haven't got the money for brand new suspension, the Öhlins is about 3-4000 €

Do you have to have aftermarket suspension? Or is modifying the stock stuff an option to make it look and perform like more expensive stuff - i.e anodize upper fork legs, DLC lower legs and have them revalved? Same thing with shock.

What about putting some other model (like RMZ) suspension on it?

Failing that, you could keep a lookout on ebay.

I have stock suspension at the moment and DLC coating and anodizeing the fork legs would be an good option but the problem is that i have no clue who could do the DLC coating in Finland. The anodizeing wouldnt be a problem though.

Lets say that i find used Öhlins suspension for an rmz 250 or 450 how much work would it be to fit the RM 250?

DLC coating - you could ask these people - http://www.diarc.fi/

If you managed to find some rmz fit Ohlins then your best bet would be to ask an Ohlins and Suzuki dealer if the suspension would fit.
Ohlins do a cartridge kit so you don't have to buy the complete forks. http://ohlinsracing.com/mx-enduro/ttx-cartridge-kit

Call around to the suspension shops. Sometimes they have older stuff laying around that's what I did.

Yes, but you might need spacers or different axles. It should bolt through the clamps and the linkage no problem.

Fits no problem, might have to change wheel spacer n axle, which is like $50 tops. My buddy wants $2800 firm for the forks n shock

I can send you a full set up complete with needed shims, springs, build sheet the works and it will be one of the best you have ever ridden.
Have you ever worked on suspension before.

Manufacturer, year and Model of motorcycle?
If you are talking about a full set up kit for your motorcycle your friend will have to get into several areas of the suspension depending on which motorcycle.

1. Shock change shims on piston.
2. Shock change shims on compression valve.
3. Possible drilling and or lengthening of shock by 2mm or less.

1. Fork change shims on base valve.
2. Fork change shims on mid valve inside the cartridge.
3. Install some custom parts.

The instructions will are detailed and we will be available for your questions.
Most pistons are good except the RMZ shock piston and the PSF fork piston.
