What is tougher mentally, starting up front and fading or starting last and charging up?

To the people that are saying it's the KTM is false, this happened to him on both the Kawasaki 25- and 450. He even said once that it wasn't much of a problem outdoors. You must have to hold on way more tight in SX ofcourse.

Pretty sure he's spent the majority of his life there, have you ever heard him talk?

I know he's got that the Scottish/American accent going on, but his parents have very strong Scottish accents so I wondered if he'd just picked it up off them growing up in America, or whether he'd actually spent his childhood in Scotland then moved over to the States later in life.

I was just surprised that if he rode here in the UK, he wasn't well known. I'd never heard of him until he went over there anyway.

He & family did emigrate to Canada when he was around 6 - 7, no great word on him from an early age, cant really remember him at local track although he did go there and was maybe 2 years younger than my son but daughter should have been on track around same time as him so maybe just starting to get interested when they moved.

He has been back a few times lately, starting off year before he won lites etc. Think a cousin owns a shop around Glasgow area.

Thing is Scottish accent is weird, you lose it after a while if abroad but when you come back it comes back BROAD and its like youve never been away. Feck knows why he gets so much crap about voice as he was just a boy growing up maybe haters just gotta hate?

I'm curious if he gets armpump at the test track during the week or if it is a race thing. If he is getting it at the test track he needs to go to a doctor, if he is a only getting it at the race than he is just riding tight/over thinking.
What would the doctor do for him???

It all started going wrong for Wilson when he went to war with Tomac, especially on the social media. He vastly underestimated how tough and motivated Tomac was. Which has been proven out....

Saw the kid at the Temecula mall last year, girls were giggling and squealing when he went past.

I'm guessing the opposite sex is a distraction for Dean, he was faster and more focused five years ago as a teen than he is now.

His gf is a solid 10/10. One of the hottest gf's in the pits.

She would surely distract me.

Looks to me Deano needs the moto equivalent of the trail riding product Steg Pegz - http://www.stegzmoto.com.au/STEG-PEGZ.html

I'm almost 6'5" and ride KTM/have trouble gripping with my legs, it more becomes gripping with your calves, which is super awkward. I put these on and arm pump reduced almost entirely.

I know body position is drastically different through most sections of a supercross track, so it would be harder to choose a set position where he can lock his legs, but I think a take on that concept could be worth looking into.

haha... Yeah I actually was back and forth all the time as a kid, and did quite a bit of schooling in Ayrshire, southwest coast of Scotland. Haven't been back for a while, trying to figure a trip this year.

Good review. I've been wondering if I should try them. Just might!

Interesting, thanks for sharing! Pretty cool to know he comes back here every now and then. Well you know what the American's think of some UK based accents.. They kicked Cheryl Cole out because they couldn't understand her geordie accent, haha!
