Monster pulling off more bullshit with other sponsors

So we all remember the infamous RedBull hat of Travis Pastrana being blurred out by the monster energy people and since then we have never seen TP back at an SX. Well they obviously haven't learned. If you watch the press conference they purposely place a monster girl in front of the RedBull KTM of Ryan Dungey to block out the sponsor.



It might be business but it's very low. During the outdoors, I never saw any of these tricks played by RedBull, hell they even refer Supercross as 'Monster Energy Supercross'. I can bet they will not even mention the outdoors during the season.

It's pathetic, shame on you monster.

That was probably one of the only times in that entire video where Dungey's bike was blocked, hell Roczen is wearing a redbull hat. Nevermind the fact that there is a 2 big Rockstar logos right next to the Monster chick.

While I doubt she was there to block out the Red Bull KTM also. The fact that they did blur out RB in the past leaves them open. They should not be able to block out any sponsors they don't like. It's part of the riders compensation. What if Bel-Ray did a deal with Monster to block/blur out any Lucas Oil hats, stickers, whatever? Are you OK with that?

The UFC has a class action lawsuit for a monopoly right now that partially states they've grossly limited what athletes can make from sponsorship.... These companies should watch out.

The Travis hat blur was a douche thing but has it ever happened again? I don't remember kenny bubba or Dungey getting their stuff blurred while on the podium or anywhere else last year. Monster has put so much money and awareness into our sport. I don't understand all of the hatered for them with some moto people.

Bel ray and Lucas are not in competition with Monster , Red bull is and so is rock star. Who ever writes the biggest check gets the most power, just how the world works and I am OK with it.

Red Bull isn't the title sponsor of outdoors, Lucas Oil is. Red Bull just happened to sponsor a few rounds as the event's sponsor.

Dam Monster also screwed over Monster, look how the placed the tallest and biggest rider in the field right in front of Davi Millsaps Monster Kawasaki, blocking out the Monster Energy Logo's.

Looks like the even made KRock turn his cap around to only show the small Redbull logo opposed to Dungey's Red Bull cap this has the big Logo on it, why would they allow Dungey the right to show off his sponsor so prominently while Roczen's sponsor only gets a little logo.

Definitely reading into things too far, there's a M girl at both ends, one is blocking Reeds bike if that makes you feel better? I don't think many employees from Monster make these calls. It's more of a Feld thing... Monster is a title sponsor ya know.

No hate here, just think it's hard enough for riders as it is without letting their sponsors get hosed. The whole reason to sponsor a rider is for exposure. If you can't get that (whatever company you are) why spend any $$s? Don't block/blur any logos.
Again, I don't think that was going on here but was talking in principle.

No they are not, but the premise of the question was that if you give the power to Monster to block/blur then they now have a new way to make money by doing it to other logos, IE: lucas for compensation by Bel-Ray. So you're OK with giving them that kind of power? Now you would have to pay sponsor $$s to Monster instead of the riders? Hmmm
By the way I'm not saying it's happening but rather it could.
