Would be interesting to get a handful of us to start running some bike oil samples through an oil analysis program to compare data from different oils, drain intervals, riding conditions, engine size, etc.

Could be a good project to become a product tester.....

Certainly Rekluse knows as much about clutches as anyone. They recommend Rotella T.

From their website:

"What oil do you recommend?
Let's start with oils we do not recommend. Any oil formulated for automotive use is not recommended and in general, should not be used in motorcycle applications. This includes conventional and synthetic oils formulated for automotive use. Modern automotive oils do not contain the anti-wear additives necessary for proper lubrication in a motorcycle engine and may contain high quantities of friction modifiers that can cause excessive clutch slip. That said, in most cases the oil you use should work fine in all Rekluse clutches However, some riders may find they experience clutch squeal, clutch chatter or have problems with clutch slip. If you experience these problems, we recommend trying Shell Rotella T, a heavy-duty, conventional diesel engine oil.

At Rekluse, we have found Shell Rotella T (15W-40) provides excellent clutch performance and often eliminates customer complaints of clutch problems. Why do we recommend conventional diesel engine oil over synthetic? In general, we have found conventional oils perform slightly better at reducing clutch noise vs synthetic oils. However, many Rekluse customers get excellent performance with synthetic oils.

The bottom line: If your current oil is working fine, keep using it. If you're hearing some clutch noise or your clutch feels soft or slips, give the Shell Rotella T a try."

I've been using Mobil 1 racing 4t for street bikes, says it can be used for offroad too. I might switch it up though, I've used amsoil and it seemed good, kinda hard to know whether its really doing good or not right?

I rotate between Rotella, Castrol Actevo and Motul 5100. Motul has the best shiting, but its a lot more expensive. If actevo is on sale i will pick that up. My KTM doesn't seem to like Rotella for shifting, but i know its a good oil for the motor.

I used Kal-Gard for my chain and filters, now I'm open for suggestions.
Was sponsored buy kal gard in the 80s,sent me cases and cases of everything,Larry Coleman was the guy that set it up.

Still have some unopened.

Semi synthetic oil can be as little as 1% synthetic, there is no law, rule that dictates a percent that has to be synthetic, just long as a drop is in it.

I've been running their products in my truck, boat and every bike I've owned for the last 12 years. They even make specific oils fir my Harley. All their coolants are the best out there, IMO

H1R at 32:1 but used motul in the past.

Rotella T in transmission. Change it every other ride. Get it cheap from napa.

PJ1 filter oil. Ran notoil for a while but didn't like it so I switched back.

Belray chain lube but every couple rides I soak my chain in 6in1 and wipe the excess off with a rag.

I also use 6in1 on my pipe. Keeps it looking tits!

I like their gear oil a lot. At $17 a quart, it better be good, and from everything I can tell, it is. Their premix oil is outstanding. I run it in 116 octane race fuel and have never had any problems.

Besides, Dogger recommended it. Dogger knows his stuff.
