He was hurt, He might of not liked the bike, and then there Him riding the Kawasaki as soon as he could maybe even before.

Guy-b and Matthes don't seem to agree.

We all know interviews are true.
Yes, just as Santa is coming to visit, tonight!

Well, he bloody well better be - I've been a good boy, I have - been good - this year (finally), and I expect nothing less than the RC500 that I've been asking for, since the mid eighties! Santa's a bloody hold out - I reckon the bastards kept it for himself all these years...........

KlootZak goes into bat for an ex KTM satellite team with limited factory support, and fails miserably.

That Fat F**king Bastard!

He's been using My bike all these years??????????????

He's bloody done for : I'm gunna pick the mongrel off as he flies away from my house tonight.

Looks like only Un Zud and a bit of the east coast of OZ gets their prezzies this year - you blokes better hope he reads Vital, sees what's in store for him, and he decides to finally 'cough up' my RC500. If not, he's going down, and everyone else, misses out!

He raced MTB races when he was 'hurt' for fucks sake.

Can't ride a dirtbike because of an injury, but can do the next physically demanding sport in line.........

Mmmm potentially a lot of difference in load and g-force through a limb comparing whoops, triple and rhythm landings and pedaling a MTb over cross country terrain... Especially for a bigger dude!

What if it was just niggling or weak enough that he wanted to keep fit while he healed?

Wasn't there a bonus issue from the year before?

Remember when people (who "knew") were saying that KTM is POS and therefore Millsaps never raced it:

You started getting some of the fans that think they know what’s going on and going, “He doesn’t like the bike.”
That was one thing. Everyone thought I didn’t like that bike. And to me, it had nothing to do with the bike. I never really got a chance to actually ride the bike that much. Every couple weeks or every month that I was on it, I was just getting used to it and then something would pop up again. So it had nothing to do with that. It was all just trying to get healthy and to be able to race again injury-free and pain-free, in a roundabout way.

Cox and I both talked to him at the same time, and that was one of the questions I asked, to deal specifically with forum rumors.
So are you saying Davi Millsaps wouldn't lie to your face? Funny

Gentleman, who really cares? For me I can't say I do. What the guy likes or dislikes is his business, I can understand why some people were upset with Mr Millsaps (especially the media) but I can also understand that we do not live in a perfect world where everyone tells the truth about everything. I would also like to think that while Mr Millsaps may have liked or disliked the ktm that he wasn't ok with trying to give the brand a bad name. It's a new year,a new season, lets hope for some great racing and healthy racers to light up A1 and beyond.

why do people get so mad over if a rider does nt like a bike , there is no way millsaps liked the ktm imo , from all the credible rumors eg, jt$ etc ,. does this make the KTM a POS no , it just means he did nt like it . some bikes suit diff riders some don't . the amount of crap everyone gave reed when he said he did nt like the Honda , well guess wat he was right , maybe if he had kyb suspension he d still be on Honda . people give out if a rider tells the truth that they don't like a bike , there would be a thread if DM18, said he did hate the bike. well how come AC222 wins on it blaa blaa blaa , some bikes suit riders some don't . stupid thread !!!

But by not racing the KTM, isn't Milsaps equal only to McGrath for brands?

McGrath: Kawi (125SX) Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM - but retired, back to Honda, now back to Kawi
Davi: Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM - but didn't race it, Kawi

Yep I can't think of anyone else whose officially been with all 5. Reed is close though but I can't imagine him going orange. Still surprised he didn't go back to the RMZ. Seems like every pro will take the RMZ if they have a choice, other than RV.

So even though all the rumours (specially here), he still never raced the KTM and went straight to that Kawasaki spot (a very similar frame to his beloved Suzuki).

I'm hoping he says the truth, but rumours were correct from day one: "Not gonna race that KTM, he will go wether there is a similar bike to the last he raced".

I believe he is now happy, but also trying to be nice to other brands, you never know where you will end up your career.

Believe half of what you hear and 90% of what you see!

There are a lot of people here that do know people but those people say "don't say where you heard it from"

Guyb you actually believe a rider is gonna tell you a certain bike is a piece of junk that's why they left?

You're right. What am I thinking?

The next time I'm face-to-face with someone, I'll say, "Oh yeah? Well, some anonymous guy on Vital knows another anonymous guy, and he passed some secondhand information that's contrary to what you're saying. So obviously what you're telling me is incorrect."

That should work. Smile

No, but you don't have to act as though you're a riders media guy instead of a journalist (pointed at the entire mx media, not singling you out).

Journalism: "despite persistent rumors to the contrary, Davi states he didn't have a problem with the KTM"
vs.
Typical mx media: "Davi said he didn't have a problem with the KTM, therefore the internet is wrong"

I know you guys have to walk a fine line with the riders to maintain access. Seems like walking a similar line of not insulting the intelligence (though some deserve it) of your readers (who pay the bills) would also be warranted.

Too many mxa like parentheticals, I know.

There's a lot of bad information/wrong information that gets spread among the users here. Example: A guy in another thread (whose message is now deleted) stating that Monster Energy Kawasaki is using FMF pipes and silencers with Pro Circuit logos on them.

Maybe he thinks that's funny.

Maybe he believes it.

Either way, it's wrong, and dumb.
