I did that down at Salem Arenacross back in '09. Landed nose high on my YZ250 with stock gearing, mother fucker opened up the power valve and I was straight into the concrete barrier.

How was the CC track??

I agree, crash and burn threads are waaay too acceptable around here. Watching another human being get hurt gives me no pleasure.

Hope your buddy is ok, Andrew.

I was trying to figure out the point at which he got sketchy.

My conclusion: The 0:00 mark

For some reason, once I read the words, "first time" and "arenacross" I knew it was going to be Clark County.

I'm glad he's Ok! Also stoked they are still keeping that place open!

Monroe & CC are completely different from each other IMHO.

CC has a really good group running the place from what I've been told. (I believe the same people that run Thurston Country ORV, or as some may call it Straddle Line ORV.)

I haven't been down there in about 5 years though.

CC AX has been burned into my memory banks for the foreseeable future.

My first time ever riding there was in 2005 it was my first year back racing after retiring in 2002 while I was still a Mini Rider. I was Racing in the 125 B Class, and here in WA the B Riders often start on the same gate as the A/Pro Riders. We just started on the second drop. Well the Referee of the Event was a Pro, and to this day I still don't know his name. I was winning the B class, and managed to catch a lot of the Pro's before the Moto was over. On this particular Moto I came up on the Referee, and he must not have known I was there he squared up the 180 Degree turn at the start of the Video OP Posted, and proceeded to T-Bone his Front Knee & Fork Lug with the power of Hulk. It managed to Break his Femur, and I've never felt so bad about taking someone out in my life despite it not being my fault, and a racing incident. Plus it was the Referee. Geez.

The last time I was there I went down there with my good friend Jake Anstett who is a Pro from WA. We were battling it out in the Open Pro class, and I managed to Punt him out of that Garage door that is always open in the Video that your friend just barely missed. Still laughing about it till this day. Jake isn't... It was a long ride home... I ended up taking him to Dejavu.

Hahah I thought the same! That crash has a Brandon-esque look to it as well, surely there's some kind of relation? Silly

I do too! Your dad may of been one of the guys who wrapped me up for my lovely 3 week stay at Emanuel hospital. That was a rough night.
