The guy has been at the top and millions of dollars and lost it all. He could get a ride tomorrow if he wanted too, but he truly doesn't give a fuck. If you follow him on instagram he just having fun riding his dirt bike everyday. It puts things into perspective for me. The money, the fame, the bullshit doesn't matter, what matters is you have fun out riding or doing whatever your doing. In b4 everyone comes in "wasted talent" he should race again" blah blah blah. The guy has more fun and more talent than you'll ever have. Stay mellow
This is a joke right? He couldn't get a ride anywhere unless he was putting in some serious sponsorship money.

Another thing, I guarantee you he'll give a fuck in 10 years.

I think the problem with this sport is that the "bro culture" is celebrated by advertisers, social media, etc. lots of incoming riders think "smoking a little weed" can mix just fine with the pro motocross scene and career. Bad as I hate Nascar, a driver that acted like a flat-billed pothead wouldn't be touched by most teams. It's a young man's sport and I realize that, but I remember Ron Lechien losing a Honda ride over pot. Riders seemed way more mature back then. Get off my lawn!

everybody thinks they are entitled to act upon what they "perceive" to be cool at that given moment in time without looking at the bigger picture.
I know a few flat billed douche bags that wouldn't dream of smoking pot and I know a few pot heads that wont wear flat bills. But I spend a bit of time at the track and I can say that neither flat bills nor pot are popular there. At a supercross race maybe but the majority of kids out riding are nothing like those of the bro culture you describe.

Jason Lawrence is not a legend. He was fast on the track, and a pure idiot off the track. Legends aren't made of that. They are forgotten because of that.

A legendary highly-skilled idiot? Ok...I buy that.
....they are forgotten? He is no legend but fills pages on this board year after year.
is that a good or a bad thing, haha? we aren't exactly a group of geniuses, as a collective.

he left millions on the table...when he is in his forties he will deeply regret not giving his god given talent 100%...the odds of getting to the caliber of top 50 in the world is slim.

Legendarily Retarded maybe. Imagine hooking up a mentally corrected JLaw with say, Aldon Baker.
