Preset?
Controller setup........I use #1 I tried the single stick and was all over the track. I wish I could switch bumper clutch for trigger brake so I could slip the clutch. Haha.

As much as I want to like this game, so far I cannot. I keep saying give it another shot etc. There are several things I just cannot get over. How is it possible to get a good start. If i time the start , or just guess on the gate drop and blast out ahead of everyone, stewart still ends up 10 bike lengths ahead every time.

What the hell do they not get about being able to scrub in a dirt bike game. It's the same shit as alive. Honestly the physics to me are worse because you cannot do that, other than that they are the same. People can do this shit in real life for about what 15 years now?

The preload and clutch is so F'n stupid. Its so far beyond what is reasonable it leaves me speechless time and time again. Short a jump by a foot? You are fucked. Shoot off the side of the track. Over jump by 40 feet and land into the face of the next jump? Just press the turbo button and pull back your sling shot and you can put the pieces back together. The game is more about pressing the turbo button the whole time and pulling back your sling shot than anything else.

Another thing is once again, just like alive, that you cannot turn the computers off in a single race when you are wanting to put a track together riding alone and get good lap times.

Hopefully they release a big update to make it worth a fuck. Ill sell my copy 20$ free shipping who wants it.

You're a troll or havent played it very much. Right now the only real issue is buggy multiplayer.

Holeshots are easy..........When it shows you on the gate, hit B and back up. Push clutch bumper, hold throttle and push stick forward. Holeshot city.

The easiest and best looking way to scrub (that i've found out so far) is to carve the face of the jump, ie- go right just before the take off and then both sticks left as you hit the takeoff or vice versa. Keep holding both sticks until the apex, then simply let go of the left stick and push the right stick straight forward (just once, give it a good push then let go), it brings the bike back quick and perfect every time. Using both sticks to get it back only slows it down and sometimes freezes it.

Feels rad and works super good.

Whips are weird and i think it has alot to do with the very over done air drifting, you can literally land 20 feet off the track after jumping straight.

My favorite part of the game so far is the Kevin Windham Simulator®, or as they labeled it in-game "Freeride Mode", so much fun to find transfers! The air drifting is actually awesome here, you can really do some badass transfer whips.

If it's like Alive then Flap has it down. I can scrub so hard in Alive that it kicks dirt out in front of me with the only problem being it's consistency. It only works on certain jumps on each track and even on those jumps it has to be timed perfectly to get the result I'm looking for otherwise it's just a half-assed whip/scrub looking deal that really doesn't shave any time.

ah cheers man

cant say i've experimented past #1

maybe I will look later to see if I prefer the others

played online last night - - buggy bgugy but good fun nonetheless, would be more than good (and expected) to see that fixed - bikes disappearing everywhere mid race, laying down on the start line etc lol

sorry for not replying last night
...i think it's preset 4 that has rider reflex on both sticks which is a bit of handful but probably with time works better than the single stick
definitly experiencing the same buggy online, nearly as bad as reflex at the start ! lol

I don't scrub anymore. I can throw some nice ones, but I've noticed that scrubbing gives me about 1/4 preload, and preloading is opposite of what I want to do. So I've been dragging the brake about halfway up the face. Anyone else notice this? Is there a different technique I can use?

Yeah deffinatly , it works way better on bigger jumps like triples and finish line jumps. Smaller stuff IS do able but way harder to get consistent. I play around with leaning back or forward a little bit with the right stick as opposed to straight left/right on smaller jumps.

I lean back if I need to fly out quite a ways, like on a big gap and lean forward to soak up my momentum if the gap is small.

I do enjoy the game the more I play it, but I'm still not satisfied. I don't understand why they continue to put out half-assed games at discounted prices, and then promise to build more content. Like many others, I'm not a fan of starting out with a shit bike, and it taking forever to build a competitive bike. I like the reflex platform of earning cash and building a better bike that way. I also am still not liking the physics. It seems to "airy" and like you float once you take off, much better than alive though. And honestly, could they not put some up to date gear in the game? Everything is 2 or 3 years old.

As someone that's ridden my whole life, the game isn't to hard to get used to. My buddies who don't ride hate the game because they think it's to difficult. This is the problem I see with the Mx Vs. Atv franchise. There isn't much for the average joe to get out of it. I wish they would mimic EA sports, and build a game like SKATE that has a story to it. It's difficult to play, but enjoyable because you have a story to follow. That was one of the things I liked about the old Travis Pastrana game.

I like the game, it's a challenge, frustrating at times but still fun. I do think that the release was purely a money grab though. I would have gladly waited for more content and fixes and a higher price point instead of generic looking bikes, bike setups that you can't tune ect..... There is so much wrong with the DETAILS of the game that it almost seems like everything was rushed.

Nordic should of looked at the Forza and F1 platforms for inspiration. Just my 2 cents.........

I can race about 4-5 races then I'm done. I had to force myself to quit racing Reflex after an hour.

I hope they DLC Stewart's compound for us.

You guys are dreaming with this downloadable content Fasad. There won't be anything worth waiting for. The game is done. Hell I think they didn't expect anyone to buy it. Amazon was sold out. GameStops around my areas got 1 or two copies.

I'm quite satisfied with the game overall. Finally got Motoclub Depot working yesterday and bought a few bikes. My only real complaint is that you have to level up each bike which is really monotonous and kind of BS. If you buy all the bikes, that's 10+ bikes you have to go through and level up. The bikes you pay money for should be levelled up already!

I was thinking this last night. Why not offer a stock bike and then a "factory" bike for $0.50 more? Also would be nice if you could get a discount for buying in bulk. The KFX450, KX125, KX250F, KX450F are all $2.99 each. So $11.96 for all 4. Why not offer a "Kawasaki Package" for $9.99 which includes them all?

Are you guys pulling back on the stick at all? Like through the whoops or over straights?

I keep finding myself pulling back thinking it is going to increase traction. But i find that the rider likes to shoot off to one side more often when I do this. Last night I just started letting go of both sticks on straights and not pulling back and it seamed to be a lot more predictable with no loss of speed or traction.

Any thoughts?

I sometimes have this problem and find that when I'm pulling back I'm pulling it off to one side. and when I'm way off then I shoot off the track. I usually just need to re grip the controller.

Love the game though and I'm kinda glad its not too easy.
