It's been a year. Seems like just yesterday...

Thought about him, a lot, this last week & his guys were representing at the 1000 (the KC66 Foundation). He's a "good memory" maker for me when I'm riding & he reminds me to wind it up and chill it out when I'm racing & prerunning.

Let it be known, he is still an awesome dude & he still makes a difference; and, that makes me smile.

And he's still missed...a lot.

Vurb had a great "open letter" to him that was posted. He was an amazing man. Had the absolute pleasure of knowing him.

I was walking my dogs through the hills behind my house and was thinking about some of the time I had spent with him and a few other friends riding some of the trails back there. The guy was outstanding on the bike and even more impressive off. He was by far one of the most helpful and outgoing guys in our industry.

Took my son this afternoon to the showing of On any Sunday which was dedicated to Kurt. Yesterday is history and tomorrow never comes...all we have is today. Make it full of what you love.

Talked to him at Comp Edge a few years ago. Was pitted next to him. Like talkin' to an old friend. Salt of the earth for sure. His Dad was the same when I chatted with him at Taft Raceway(Honolulu Hills) years ago. The racing community lost some good peeps with Kurt and his Pops.
