This. With the way he's described on here you'd think he's 6'4 , 240.

It's the other riders that make him look big.

Motocross riders are like horse jockeys these days.

He's not too far from it, he's gotta be at least 6'2 and I know in an interview he said fully geared up he weighs close to 220. Compared to guys like Martin and Bell who are 5'6 and 135lbs soaking wet, he's huge.

He's giving up at least 40lbs to his competition. Watch him ride a 250f around the track at the Stewart compound. He's having to seat bounce HARD, and lift up on the bike with his legs just to get it to clear the triples. The flyweight guys just bounce a bit and nail the throttle, and they're flying into the cheap seats.

What is Mookie's finish percentage last season in SX and MX?
What is Davi Millsaps finish percentage his entire career(2 'good' seasons?)??? whats ur point...Mookie a lot of potential...RCH should have snagged 34 instead of 40...IMO

Great News Good for Malcolm he deserves it! Hope to see him win a championship on the 250 and move on to the 450s and stay with Geico for years to come and see him get some good results on a 450 in the future. Malcolm dose not take shit from no one. I think The Rock likes that. He didn't when he was racing.

But, lets pick the P.R. apart shall we.

"GEICO Honda team manager and past series champion Mike LaRocco..."

I'm drawing a blank...what sx series did Mike win?

Mike Larrocco said""Running in both the 450 and 250 classes, we like to keep a good balance of experienced riders and rookies on the team. We think Malcolm will help bring that balance. The kid's got speed and hopefully, in the right environment, we can get some podium results out of him."

Get some podium results out of him??? Why not some wins and perhaps a championship? I think hes capable, Mikes apparently not so optimistic I guess.

Further breaking this down and WHAT AN AWESOME/SMART signing this was by Geico Honda....Malcolm is easily better then 3/4's of the current team...in fact it could be argued that perhaps hes equal to Bogle in SX as Bogles championship came last year in an injury depleted East field and Malcolm got Podiums in the much tougher West.

If they got him cheap, like I bet they did...best signing of the off-season!
Mike Larocco won the 2000 World Supercross Series title.

Sorry dude, can't compare the two.

Milsaps was a 250 east champ, and won a bunch of races. Malcolm hasnt won one race yet.

Honestly, it should probably happen more often. Too many people on here making ridiculous statements as facts and never being called on it when they're completely wrong.

Jamma just had a great post in another thread shedding some light on the idiots who thought RV was going to "destroy the slow Euros." Accountability.

Only it's not as simple as jumping on his brothers 450. Malcom is contracted to ride a Honda. He was able to do the overseas races in the offseason since he had that deal in place before signing the contract. Halfway through the regular season, they aren't going to want him riding a Suzuki, regardless of who's it is.

I agree it would be great to see him on a 450, but it's not really as simple as just grabbing one.

Shane
