It's your bike do what ever you want to it. Who gives a fuck what any one thinks. If it runs like crap simply take it off. Not really a big deal like a lot of cunts make it out to be.

I did this to a YZ125 my old 2002 one in fact. I did it right and made my own pipe and welded it all it was made of steel. Gonna be honest it was a complete waste of my time. It did nothing for the bike except made it sound less powerful. It got quieter and sounded weird. I sold it about a month after I finished. They work but don’t work well. Just think about not doing it

Why would anyone stop at 2 pipes? I’d do at least 4, but probably more like 7 or 9. Maybe more if I could get a bulk discount from FMF or PC.

Check out Social Scoop this week for a pretty wild CR500 with dual Yosh silencers. Sounds cool, no idea how it runs.

Firstly, would it not be better to compare a 2020 CRF vs a 2020 YZF instead of a 2020 vs a 2016?

Secondly, although in 2019 the YZF250F had a little more power than the CRF250R, the 450 class was the other way around, so what has that got to do with dual mufflers?

Thirdly, further to the above, the dual mufflers have zero to do with total peak power output

1) You can compare any years you want and I agree that comparing the same model years would be best.

2) and 3) I agree with you that dual vs single exhaust has little to do with power output. In fact, that was my point in showing the Yamaha as a comparison.

More... The Yamaha appears to have equal (perhaps better?) mass centralization with a single exhaust than the Honda dual system.
