I believe they are potentiometers to gauge the suspension travel. He has one on the fork and one on the shock.

It's difficult to argue with your first sentence. He's ALWAYS trying to find a combination that works and never seems satisfied with what he has. Some of that is just characteristics of a guy that REALLY wants to win so you can't blame him for that but you have to be careful that it doesn't become an excuse. It sure seems the bike seems to be the problem pretty regularly.

I saw a piece on them testing and just thought ,damn,the shit they could sneak on a bike at a sx race and gather real data and then store that for the next time the track shapes up the same.
The riders aren't the ones figuring out the data. They just ride. The engineers are the ones figuring out what direction to go based on the data for the next setup. The problem with a dirt bike is that so much isn't constant. The rider's choice on body position and HUGE fluctuations in traction/track conditions make the reading of the data very difficult. More so than a car on a consistent paved surface for example.

That shop is mostly likely at Chad's house and they're probably testing today. Pulled it in the shop, took the suspension off, tore down on suspension bench with drain, make changes, re-assemble, place back on bike, and off he goes again. Smile

Yeah but just as you start thinking that maybe he is using the bike as an excuse he gets it the way he wants it and reels off a couple wins. I'll NEVER count Reedy out. As long as he thinks he's got a chance he does.

I agree 1000%. I think his comfort level is all mental. When he's mentally strong he's on it. If endless suspension testing gives him the mental comfort so be it....hope he's on it this season.

Not what i saw,they had both riders looking at the data curves and putting a seat of the pants feeling with what was on the screen.

I cant remember what show or channel that was on,my mind will bring it around ,it is shifting thru the cells i killed last night at
the moment.

Don't see the 2nd air chamber in the pic so... I think you are right. All the pros I know that race with air stuff are not very happy with it.
More and more riders show up to race with WP stuff over there, looks like a trend
