I guess the field would of been bigger if Yamaha didn't pull out.
Would of been cool to see a live stream.
I think the Sx series needs to land big name sponsor, to help with more prize money etc.
Maybe that will attract more riders.
Yeah mate, both nights, was expecting to see ya!! My home town so came back with my Brother and his Missus to see the Olds and watch some damn dirt bikes.
Not bad start. Little disappointed with the track... All that space and they cramped it up again! I don't get it. I'd probably drop the FMX and use the dirt for some more 180 berms. Likewise, open the track, move the pits so if the monster truck is there he's got some room.
Weird not watching Reed... Matt was way out front, and Monea about the same again. Bopping looked in good form again, from the back both nights. Jake looked tight? Harrison looked awesome last night and came through good again. Peters was peppy but not without a start. They'll need to get starts to beat Faith tho. Kale was horrible last night but seemed more comfortable tonight, much better rhythm.
Oh... And to continue our vital discussion I say they're pretty equal! (250f vs 250 two stroke)
I was a little surprised by the rider numbers, thought there might be a few more, but I guess riders (Privateers) just don't have any money left to go racing after covering the country for a 10 year MX Series.
Yamaha pulling out accounts for 3 riders maybe four if CDR put on a second rider, so no big deal in the grand scheme of things, just we get robbed of seeing 3 of Australia's best up and coming riders in action!
Only footage I have seen is the two highlight video's.
Ill be at rounds 3/4 at Phillip Island and the Brisbane round so will give my thoughts after those two.
I don't think there are any Kiwi's riding at all?
Apparently night 1 the crowd was a little bit disappointing but night 2 was much better. Again this is just what I heard.
Very cool to see Harry get the W on night 1 in 250's. I haven't seen night 2 results yet.

I had no phone reception until 6am Saturday morning when we docked back in Brisbane and was frantically looking for results lol, ended up relying on a friends FB page who was updating results from the live timing before finding the results page.
All live timing is on Computime.com or computime.com.au actually a decent live timing in terms of updating every time a rider crosses the line instantly. Layout is not as friendly as the AMA live timing, but it does the job.
Ill be taking photo's at Phillip Island and have just received confirmation that I have full media access to the MotoGp again this year, so need to remember to get back to the SX track for races. Leaving the airconditioned MotoGP media center on top of pit straight is hard to do lol.
Gates looked ok in finals. Heats were patchy. Serco wasn't there either tho I guess... 2 more.
I said to my mate and Brother, it's such a hard sport in terms of participation.... If you're a Dad, your young Bloke or Lady is showing promise, it's such a big country to drive about, and you have to expose them to it heaps to do it right, and then for what. Staying in Aus is an outcome only the best guys would be ok with, if you're top 10 behind Matt and maybe a few more, it's gotta be so hard making coin and getting by.
Crowds - There would have been maybe 2.5G there friday night, and they didn't hang around. ... About 6 maybe second night.
There was one kiwi I think? Well at least I thought I heard the announcer say so but gosh knows who. Is there a PA system around the country that is easy to listen to (with generators and bikes going haha)
This series was quickly thrown together yeah? Hopefully they get serious about it next year.
I thought Jackson Richardson would be better than the Aussies that beat him on night 2. Did he crash? What was up? Looks like Harrison had one of his flashes in night 1. Good one him.
And as for my moto-knowledge, mate I'll bench race most anyone, any time. Having an opinion that differs from the rules is not an indication of anything except free will.
It does not take a lot of idea to "bench race". You simply pick a few riders then proceed to hang shit on a couple and say how one guy is the best? And don't take stuff to heart so much it's all good mate! Also don't worry about most of your knowledge coming from here, most of the Journalist's down there get half there content from this page as well haha!
I will say well done to the promoter for sticking his neck out and keeping the sport alive down there. Would take balls and it's a shame one of the OEM's don't have any.
Any way I am out of this thread enjoy!
M C Hammered every night!

Also, FYI, bench racing is definitely not a shit slinging contest. Most passionate fans, people who do know what they're talking about would say it covers all aspects of moto–history, rules, race results, the lot... And if you read ANY of my posts, you'd see I contribute to this board, I definitely don't come here to absorb "knowledge", as you say... I come here to bench race and argue with idiots apparently... ah fuck it, you got me.
Dopey.
