Been meaning to approach this subject for a while. But keep letting it go. We all read how terrible both Baggett's MXDN visits were. Yes his first one was horrible. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't he battling for the championship in 2011 before sustaining an injury slowing him up and making him not even a contender against Wilson at the end. Sure he was the best American 250 rider to pick from 250 AMA Nationals, but he was not 100% for MXDN. Had a 450 rider been able to step down to the 250, this would of been the only way to have a competitive 250 rider that year.
Come Lommel the following year. In my opinion Baggett has shown weakness in sand. Only winning southwick 2012 due to Tomacs misfortune. Also crashing at Millville (kinda sandy) in both 2012 and 2014. The guy went out and got a 6th in his 2nd moto. Finishing first American that race and 2nd 250 rider.
Yes he got lapped. But his best score was better than Dungey's. I don't believe he was the best pick for Lommel. (Tomac or a 450 rider probably). But he did step up and I think he should be proud of that 6th and we should give the guy a little more credit.
In the last 6 teams. That 6th on a 250 is Team USA's 2nd best 250 finish at MXDN. (Tomacs 2nd last year being better).
On a complete side note. I did not realise just how great Poto was at MXDN on a 250. His finishes from the 3 events he did -
3 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 10 - 1. Wow!

Other than that impressive stats by RV, thats also why I think he will beat Cairoli next year, he doesnt seem to struggle to cope with different tracks in different countries (at least not as bad as other people that go over to Europe or the other way)
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
And you left out the massacre at Budds Creek from you stats.
But all that aside, all questions will be answered next year.
The crew here is really turning it up!!!
Speaking of JW12, who's he riding for in '15?
I'm undecided about Baggett, don't see him doing too much indoors,is he still on a 250 outdoors though?
Pit Row
Baggett should be interesting next year on a 450 - he's smaller than RV, I think, so should have a heck of a power to weight thing on his side.
If Baggett can make it through supercross healthy, it will be interesting to see how he does in the nationals.
I can't see Wilson over coming his arm pump issues easily this year.
Anyway once the gate drops we will see what Baggett can do. Nobody has seen him on a 450 and that plays a lot into peoples expectations. If you ask anyone who they think will do better out of Seely or Anderson next year, they will all (most) say Seely. Why is this? Because we have seen Seely ride one already.
*I have no idea how my initial comments patting RV on the back for his 250 MXDN rides could turn into an AC vs RV topic lol.
