Super impressed with how well he did at straight rhythm, especially with his win over Metcalfe, Pastrana, & how hard he pushed James. I honestly didn't think he was going to be as competitive as he was.

Is fitness the main hurdle he has to overcome in SX to be competitive? I know there weren't any turns yesterday, but in SX I think he could be mediocre at turning and still do well. In the last Hanny episode, it sounded like he didn't even have a fitness base that most athletes have and is starting from the bottom

Thanks for throwing up my pic! Hansen was the first one to go for the quad off the side of the track before the dragonback, closely followed by Hill and Wilson trying it as well. His speed looked good, and he looked fun while doing it, too. Can't wait for SX, I think he can be a serious contender if he does the 250 class.

I wasn't surprised at all by his speed on that track? Seems like his kinda race to me. I was bummed before it started Pastrana had to race him so early on lol.

Definitely made James turn it up a notch^^^. Just getting back into racing and beating a rider that ended nationals 4th in points...Impressive by any standard.

Lil Hanny is going to be a wild card in the 250F W SX series. He can win the title. He has speed and has been working on his body and emotional intelligence. Might be the best he's ever been.

Against one of the best riders of all time, not sure how this wouldn't be surprising.

He was good but a 55 second run isnt a 20 or 15 lap main in sx.

As much as I want to see him finish up top he needs to get real fit soon.
He seemed very winded after his runs and I hope he can get a good run at sx this year.

Hanson had James covered in the one race till the whoops but very few ever go thru whoops as good as James does.
I was really hoping he would pull it off too!

He can't race 250 if the rules are the same as last year...

Yeah gotta give Hanny credit, he looked real good. I wouldn't put too much emphases on that run with Stewart though, JS made quite a few mistakes in that one.

Seems to me Hansen's problem has always been more about commitment, discipline, and attitude not talent or speed. He's probably one of the most naturally talented guys in the sport but has never been willing to put in the work necessary to maximize his talent.

Hanny is competitive on the little bikes for a shortened west or east coast sx series. I don't see him dominating the lites class.
10/5/2014 4:23pm
I think Hanny's Whoop speed was maybe one of the slowest. He had the rest dialled. But yeah he was pretty slow in the whoops. I was a little surprised by this.

His new fitness regimen appears to be paying off. That is, according to my source, only 2 beers before noon instead of his usual 3.

And you've been doing such a good job of keeping the attention whoring to a minimum.

You think Cudby, Gibby, or Garth need to post something to call attention to the fact that they took the photo?

So far this off season Josh Hill could be a player in 2015 supercross because he dominated the Transworld slam. Hansen is a contender in the West coast next year because he stayed even with JS7 in a extended a supercross section. Mookie deserves a factory ride because he was on his brothers ass in the same race. Bring on the Monster cup can hardly wait for the insight that comes out of that race. LOL

Hansen looked good, but to be fair, he didn't push James. The only one pushing James was Malcolm.

Not taking anything away from Hanny, but there are turns to be made on a SX track. So it may be a little hard to judge by an event like this....

Now for the hazing..... I know shut up Noob!
