What's the story behind your Avatar?

I go through a lot of avatars, which isn't a great thing for recognition. Everyone knows peelout because his shit never changes. His image is synonymous with talking about hos and bros. As soon as you get a new avatar, it's like a mind eraser with most people. They can't access the memories of what kind of poster you were because of the recognition problem.

I throw the old avs in a folder when I'm done with em, so I'm gonna jog down memory lane here and dredge up all the ones I've used and ATTEMPT to order them chronologically...here we go...

Flat track bike similer to the one my dad use to take me fod rides on when I was very young. Plus, flat trackers have cool numbers graphics.

If you've never been to a mile flat track race.......get off your ass. One of the most bad ass things on 2 wheels.

Wyam Priddy was a hot Texas pro motocrosser in the 70's, and rode for Team Kawasaki, Bultaco and Suzuki among others. He was the cousin of my neighbor when I was a kid, and took a liking to me...letting me ride in his van with him to many races, including several Trans-Am's where I got to meet all my factory rider heroes. My folks couldn't began to buy me a bike and finance my racing, so Wyman talked Kawasaki into giving him a 125...which he gave to me, and then later talked a friend of his who owned a Houston shop (Cycle Shack) into sponsoring. Without Wyman's help I would never have been able to race. He passed away at his home in the late 70's from what I heard. I owe him a lot, and he was one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

My avatar is of Wyman, on his #68 factory support Kawasaki 450. I think that was in '74 or so at Mosier Valley MX in Texas.
This is such a cool story!!! Thanks for sharing. OP thanks for starting this thread!!

My avatar is only the greatest (imo) rider of all time ... JMB

A damaged Hurricane being supported by other Hurricanes during the battle of Britain.

The painting is called Moral support, thought it fits the whole MXoN weekend nicely.

Just went thru my pictures and tried to find one that didn't make me look like a goon.

Track is Tomahawk MX in WV. Open practice. It was freshly prepped and pretty deep. I was the first guy out drawing lines. GF at the time with the shot.

Me riding Searle's factory 250F KTM at the time. It doesn't happen so often, and it's a cool picture.

My meager photo skills.. glen Helen 06' I think

I love honda, but its waning every year there is no two stroke. I guess if you squeeze a honda two stroke aficionado long enough they eventually turn blue.. or orange!!

I just picked a random pic of me riding but now that I think about it it's got a lot of cool things going on.

First, I'm shredding on a 125 2-stroke which is one of my favorite things to do and shows that I actually ride one instead of blathering about it on Vital.

Second, the pic was taken by BrownDog Wilson. Very lucky to have such a sweet pic of myself.

Third, the pic was at the annual Phoenix SX ride day which is always a blast.

Fourth, the bike is special to me because it was given to me from donations collected from Vitards upon return from a deployment to Iraq.

Hell yeah Bro! I remember when Doc set that up. That 125 is a keeper.

Overheard a guy talking to my brother about racing against me in the +30 class several years ago. It went like this:

"So I'm leading into the whoops, right? ...And then this Ass-hat just comes blowing by me all out of shape, swapping like hell, and beating on the rev-limiter..."

He was right. I had fallen down on the start and I was riding angry; but it made me laugh, and the name kinda stuck, so I just found a picture to match.

RC squaring a fast turn standing up to go up the inside of Alessi.. I saw it on the telecast and about lost my shit and had to watch it a thousand times then I saw the pic of it.. it's one of my all time favourite pics and it's just a classic example of Carmicheal being Ricky Carmicheal

Incredible photo . . . thanks for including full size. The avatar doesn't do it justice.

Mine is just a pic of me in 1992. I worked at a sign shop at the time so I used the plotter to cut my numbers with a unique font and shadow them. My dad also owns a fabrication shop which is why my skidplate is a bit unique and overkill. Most importantly, my clutch hand is showing the vital community who is #1 Laughing
