Can't believe they were considering it to begin with, but the DA can't appear to being doing nothing. Now will come the cries of outrage from the boys parents. Sad deal, but the kid is responsible for his own death.

I did see that. The shitty part about the reporting is that every article I read just had to mention the tony stewart situation at the bottom of it. It seemed like they didn't even want to write an article about Scott, just gave them another reason to bring up the stewart deal. Shitty journalism at its finest.

What marker did they find for the mary jane in his bloodstream?

Most tests can confirm marijuana usage up to a month prior so there's nothing saying the kid was baked when he jumped behind the wheel.

They have newer tests that can better indicate if he was actually impaired on THC rather than just used it sometime within the last 30 days.

The kid was a seasoned racer and on his way up the ranks. He could of done a lot with his career and he's an adult, But his actions and bad decisions (on a lot of levels) got him killed that night. There are only two people that know what TS did and that's TS and god. It's a bummer deal and his family will drag this out and bring a bad name on racing in general. Godspeed Kevin Ward and may TS get it together to win some more, personally and professionally.

Feel bad for the family! Having to watch your son die in front of your eyes because he made a poor decision is a fucking horrible thing. Not to mention the video was all over the internet. Weed didn't make him run down that track, who's to say when he was smoking it

The Grand jury also had expert testimony that broke down the video by grids and the experts say Tony didn't swerve over and hit Ward but I am sure rider564 will be back telling us that everybody is wrong except for him. Ward also had enough pot in his system that he used dope the day of the race and more than likely at the track that day. I agree Stewart is a dirtbag at times but it doesn't make him a murderer no matter how bad rider564 wants him to be. But then again facts mean nothing to the people who don't want to be proven wrong.

I agree. I find it odd that just about every single person on this forum disagreed with him......but yet he says the " Moral majority " on all the social media sites say , they think he's guilty.

To start with I have no dog in this fight. I think NASCAR is a stupid and could give a shit less about Stewart one way or the other.

Unfortunately I had to watch this on the TV a hundred times. Here's my take if anyone gives a shit. Under caution you should be driving like the several other cars that passed this kid...coasting. Any normal person would do that. Why risk getting on the gas with wreckers, wrecked cars, people etc in the way. They all passed with no issue what so ever. But when Tony comes by he wants to make a point to the kid and hits the gas. Anyone with something bigger than a pea brain can see this. Did he mean to run him over and kill him....HELL no. Should he be held accountable, can't be proven. But if it was my family member I'd be pissed. Even if you kill someone by accident you should be held accountable.

You know, I truly think that Kevin brought the tragedy all upon himself by leaving his car. Dark suit, night race, etc. Nevermind that it's rule #1 to follow. It's racing and bad shit can happen at any time. Look at when what's his face hit the jet dryer at an indy race and damn near burned the driver alive.

However, trying to attribute his actions to being a "pot head" is just plain stupid. Weed does not make you aggressive and it takes an aggressive state of mind to get behind the wheel of a sprint car and an even more aggressive state of mind to leave that car and go after another driver on the track. I honestly don't see that happening. Did he smoke a joint a week prior? He probably did, as a lot of people do it these days. Did that impact his behaviour that night? Not a fucking chance.

so if you side with the ward family.and im unclear if they are just angry the son got killed or they are confident stewart purposely had intent to kill him or anybody for that matter while running into race cars that has minimal visibility .if any on the wing side of those race cars..
so, as I watch the video, I first see a guy getting out of his race car,next thing...this guy on drugs? then pow,right in the kisser.
so,you are stewart,not knowing who this object is ,has 2 decisions(putting aside his bad ass attitude).
1,gas it to turn down quick
2.dont gas it and let the car pull in the direction of the guy on drugs...
or maybe3,gas it ,with the same mentality as in moto.to roost him.
to say stewart did it to cause bodily harm is just foolish.no matter how he is was perceived in public eyes before all this.
