He wore a neck brace a bunch of times.

He wore one after Caesars Palace, he wore one after the Cow Palace crash, he wore one after Wembley.

That guy hucked booters in a disco suit on a 500lb V-twin Harley, and beat the shit out of reporters with a cane.

I'd say nothing it out of the real of possibility regarding that guy.

Thanks.

It's taken way to long though. I keep getting side tracked. I'm going to start again with a 500AF.

They have one of his jump bikes at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, NC. EK was a bad man. KTM 50 forks are bigger around than on his bike.

He climbed into the sky cycle knowing he was going to die but did it anyway because he said he was going to do it. So I think badass is more like it.

You guys have no idea how BIG Evil was when us 50 year olds were little kids....The motorcycle was a great toy. I dropped mine of of Glen Canyon dam, on accident...Yes, I cried.

Non motorcycle peopel knew him. He was known more, worldwide, than Muhammid Ali (Cassius Clay) or the president of the United States. If he did things bad in his personal life, it was all kept quiet, The baseball bat incident was too big to hush up.

Saturday Morning Cartoons had Evil Knievel toy commercials. I think this one is foreign, but you get the idea...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVR7dm2Fw9E

The bat attack thing...everyone blamed the guy who got attacked, not Evil, and truthfully, the guy deserved it.

I remember watching the commercial and thinking it was all bs because there was no way a motorcycle could do a 360...LOL

The world was different then, and the press turned their heads, whenever possible. Prior to the baseball incident, the guy was placed out there as a role model. Very anti-drug.....alcohol was never talked about. The guy would lay there in a stretcher and take time to tell kids to not do drugs as they wheeled him to the ambulance.

My parents took me to see the Ek movie. My mom said that night when I was sleeping I was making engine noise and twisting the throttle. 40 years later here I am. Thanks Evil.

I sat on his 1970 jump bike once. It had almost no suspension and generally felt like a boat anchor.

Always wanted to go in there. We went there twice and it was always closed in the winter. Hell, other than the mountain that was all MV had to offer to do.

Stumbled across this today.

Never saw the test shots, or even knew about them, before.
