Actually, even as a gun owner and supporter, I did find some of that very funny, and very true. But, some of it... he could have left out. just not too classy.

Some comedian made a joke about the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting the morning after it happened. As if that joke isn't shitty enough already, he does it the morning after.

He speaks as if things all situations are the same, too many variables for his stuff to be constant truth. Sometimes you need a gun. I guess they don't hunt any more in Australia? Then there's the guns are banned in Chicago thing, hows that working out? He say's it's just humor but it's how he feels and folks like that get off more on trying to prove they are right than seeing the truth. I find more humor in him being bothered by a country he doesn't live in than his "jokes". No one ever talks about australia or gives a shot about them.

Funny how he says guns are banned in Australia. They are restricted, not banned. It's like people over here that say America is dumb and they are happy to live in a gun free country. There are guns all around but they are just hidden from the public that doesn't know anything about guns.

But it is just humor, nothing serious, just laugh and move on. He is joking about stuff that we are talking about, which makes it even more fun. He is not a politician, it is not serious, it just amusement. Seems like some people are more sensitive to jokes about guns, than racist jokes or jokes about cancer, that is what is so funny.

I was not hoping for any response in particular, I thought people would think it was funny though, I did not expect that a comedian with a routine would make people whine about their guns and other peoples nationality. I can understand why people become sensitive when we discuss things, but this is just comedy, comedy is usually based on current behaviors, current events, current politics, current culture etc, lets face it, it usually it is fun even if the joke about something you like or if they take a stand you usually disagree with, it is often the whole point with comedy, to be provocative and sensational. That is why it is funny that some people can not even take a joke about guns, to be fair though, most people seemed to enjoy it.

I tryed to like the guy. Watched a bit of his show on Comedy Central . He just isn't funny to me.

Would it be so funny if the stand-up was poking fun at people who believe in freedom of speech? Or how about poking fun of people who believe that abolishing slavery? Or for that matter any of the other amendments..
