Remember we vitards know just about nuttin, about nuttin. Just giving you unfiltered feedback.

I like the green. Kawasaki doesn't make a 50cc race bike. I would love to have one for my daughter.

me and some room-mates used to have CRF50's and race them around the back yard. always had the cops called on us.

these things would be bitchin' for the older crowd as well.

I love it. Think it is a great idea and will do very good. Very interested in knowing more about dealership.

Done. My twins are coming up on 3 years old and are already drooling over my bikes.

Hope this takes off big for you. I also want some "affordable" adult sized pit bikes to be available in the future. Bikes don't need to be loud to be fun.

The front brake line will be routed correctly when bikes are shipped. We are upgrading the brake hoses to a braided line and having them made to the exact length needed so there will be no slop.

It's very defined by the boys riding style after watching him ride at our local tracks on the prototype that he has learned from a very young age excellent riding techniques. We have seen this bike in action and it is awesome to know its being released! Good job!

We are in the process of getting some promo video shot that will be uploaded to the website as soon as its been shot and edited.. Here is a old video from the early developmet stages of the the mini thunder http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8ffkHNptvQ&index=6&list=UUhfSX9FDPMG9my…

testing have been going on in race conditions for around 10 months and are now confident to release the bike knowing that there will be no major problems for race use.

JA946 is right. Keep it under wraps until you are totally dialed. Pre-launching the way you are is a big mistake and will lose you the support of the people that you want up front. Also, a forum isn't the place to ask for product feedback that is worth anything.

Good luck with the project.

We thought people on this forum would understand that a DNF can happen with any bike ( and not just a electric ) , this was a real race and the video was not taken to help promote the bike, it was taken to look back at the footage to help the rider and to help further development of the bike .

Did you carry on reading the thread ?.. the DNF was from early days of development ( around 10 months ago ) and the video is not linked to the website or the facebook page , We posted it up as it was requested to show some video of the bike in action. The bike is now totally 'dialed in' and thats why it is being released , there will be new linked promo video and pictures very soon.

A popular forum such as this one with so many like minded people with all the same interest is of course the best place to ask question and ask for suggestions about new products.. its better than a manufacture just thinking that the manufacturer knows best and it dont matter what the consumers think.

Thank you.
We are very pleased that we are now in a position to release the bike to the new/upcoming future mx star riders.

Great idea and definitely an emerging market. Could I suggest to you to edit out the DNF part at the end. Nobody needs to know that and being from a while back we can all understand the sorting out process, although I do appreciate your honesty. It's not good to finish on a bad note if you no what I mean.
Also, would it be feasible to adapt off the shelf mtn bike brakes for less weight? Would look a whole heap more legit and less Chinese made. Obviously price is a major factor here but the overly large brake components on the Chinese bikes always turn me off.

Except you did post the video to promote the bike, which wasn't ready to promote. Your thread is mostly spam anyway (launch dates, raffles). JMO

Good luck.

We will look into sourcing a more compact brake system that is as functional as the setup we currently have.
Also we will remove the end of the video (DNF part) , as we can now see that some viewers of the video look at the whole bike in a negative way.

Yes you are quite right, I did post the video as requested to help promote the bike and as of this time we have no real promotional video to offer. Im sorry if you also think that trying to promote a new product to people that would care about the product is spamming, that really is not our intention.

I would like to add a few words since I have seen their riding at my local tracks. One of the first times I saw this little guy out running laps, my friend and I were very intrigued. We were curious to know how many laps it could do, so we decided to count his laps when we saw he was going in with a fresh battery. I estimated 8, and my buddy guessed (if memory serves me right) about 12. We figured it would be designed to go at least a solid 7 laps since mini races will regularly run about 5 laps. This was on a good size pit bike track at Pala Raceway, same one in the video. As he was going lap after lap, we counted 10, and looked over at each other with raised eye brows, kept counting, and after about 24 or 25 laps, is when he was waved in by his dad. My friend and I looked at each other actually laughed… lol, because we were both way off. He was zipping at what seemed to be his race speed all the way to his final lap. He must have been about 4 years old then. Definitely looked the smallest of the bunch on the track. If there were 8 kids on KTM50’s, he was faster than 85% of them, and every kid older than him without a dought. Any other younger kids or that looked his size were on pw’s. This little guy is definitely someone to keep your eyes on. He rides like a little miniature pro, he stands everywhere, attack position, front brake, apex sitting, leg up high with super good corner momentum and was up on those pegs right out of the turns. I don’t even come close to his technique!!

Anyways we watched his dad swap batteries immediately after the first pack, put the just used battery to charge on what looked like an inverter, he then put another battery in the bike, and the boy was off playing with his friends as the dad left the bike and was off chatting with other moto parents. Maybe 20 minutes went by and he was off and did another 20+ laps. They must have done that 3 or 4 times within about 3hrs. They finished, dad picked up the bike and shoved it into the trunk of a older 2-door Mercedes and left. That is pretty priceless if you ask me. They would do that day after day and at different tracks. I have even seen him doing laps on the main tracks.

SO, to do 60-80 laps in a few hours’ time, and then throw it into the trunck of a car is brilliant. Let me add how many parents I see frustrated all the time at the track trying to keep their 50’s running correctly, or even running at all at times and they are just out there consistently riding. I’m a 2-stroke die hard myself, but also welcome anything that makes sense for the future of the sport and for the safety and teaching of young kids. I bet they get home from the track and ride the rest of the day locally! As I said earlier, to watch this kids riding style is pleasant to say the least. You can definitely tell he has lot of hours on the seat.

With that bike and rider, I predict a very bright future.

Again, so cool to see this available to every child and parent now!

An electric bike basically does not need any Engine Maintenance. No oil changes, Clutches, Pistons, Bottom ends, no problems with Jetting, no air filter to clean, .....

Basically just charge the battery after every ride and after some time fresh Tires.

This could be a real advantage especially for the Parents. If it is your Sons first bike you probably dont want to work on it all the time.... You just want to have a fun Time out at the Track with your Son Smile

Curious while on subject. The boy would get stopped every so often when he was riding, prob about 3 times per session. They would first touch the motor, and seemed to be touching or checking all the wires and electronics. Then did something to the computer or clicking something not sure? seemed they would click away then log something down, oh then inspect the chain and send him out again. Always wondered what was on that computer.

Instead, you have a battery that when possibly punctured can explode.

If a gas tank gets punctured and the gas leaks onto a red hot pipe it can explode too, but how many times does that happen in mx?
I'm sure they will find a way to protect the battery.

The biggest problem I had as a kid was the noise of my bikes..the neighbors were always bitching and calling the cops. I am starting to warm up to these electric bikes! Especially for a young kid..

Good luck!
I was the opposite. I grew up with a lot of land to ride on that surrounded our house. My Mom was the one that was around in the summer time when I did most of my riding as a kid. Mom's rule was if I was going to ride, just ride and nothing else. No starting and stopping, no throwing rocks, no start it up and shut it off. If she didn't hear the bike running she had to stop her work and come looking. As long as she heard the bike, she knew everything was ok. Kind of a reverse alarm clock.

I get the thunder and lightning thing because it is electric. But parents do the buying and the age of parents that are buying are parents that were teenagers in the 80's and 90's that heard the song "Its electric, woogie woogie waggie" Why not name it the Woogie or the Woogie Waggie, or the smaller one the Woogie and the larger one the Woogie Waggie or the smaller one the Woogie Waggie and the larger one the Woogie Woogie Waggie? A bike for a 5 year old named the Woogie Wagie, I would buy that shit. As soon as I read the name Woogie Waggie the first thoughts that would come out of my head is " Its Electric". Plus it is kind of funny and a buying parent would smile and associate with it.
Also, Mom's are around more than Dad's. 20 minutes to change a battery? That is to much for a Mom. Make it easier for a Mom to change with simple connections and little to no tools.
And always remember, I accept checks for good ideas Smile
