GP silly season 2015

Seems as though ben watson is going to Jacky Martens Husky along with tonkov. Will be awesome to see how he does.
Would be cool to see sterry get an mx2 ride as well and maybe even nathan watson!
With brent van donick, zaragotha.. Probably jaulin going mx2 as well the class should still be pretty sweet.
Julian Lieber left suzuki today and is looking a ride..

Be plenty of gossip to pick up at Lommel for sure .... packing a bag to go as we speak.

Not that I trust anything that is written on mxlarge. But Luongos plans on adding a USGP is interesting for 2015 is interesting...

"The rumor that Ryan Villopoto is coming to race the MXGP class in 2015 is heating up with it now seemingly nearly 100% that the American champion will race in Europe next year.

Giuseppe Luongo also mentioned if Villopoto does come (with a big smile on his face) that a USGP would more than likely be added to the calendar as quickly as 2015.

“It has always been our goal to have a GP in America,” Luongo said. “Of course if Villopoto was to come and race the series and I saw that with a big smile on my face, then it would also be important for us to race a round in America. It would be the right thing to do for the racers, the public and also our sponsors. If you look maybe 70% of our sponsors are American, with FOX, GoPro, and Parts Unlimited.”

Mxlarge was told today from somebody who is close to the negotiations for the Villopoto deal that he will be coming and his team-mate will be Tyla Rattray."

lieber already has a ride ... standing construct.

Van Doninck MX2 next season? ... only with a big bag of money ... just like the other EMX250 riders

Yes, the EMX riders are fast. Many of them should be in the GP class (and would be if it were not for the ridiculous entry fees)

If they combined the GP and EMX classes and qualified the top 40 to the GP and the rest to EMX you would have two full line-ups with the 40 fastest in the world championship and 40th-80th in the support (EMX) class.

Dunno though, When guys are doing well in emx250 they get confidence. Look at guillod he wasnt great in mx2 and as soon as he dropped down was a new rider. and the top guys in the class will always end up with mx2 riders anyway. Unless your clarke who is too old lol

Fun fact: the guy who usally finishes last in the mx2 category wouldnt even qualify in the top 40 in emx250. emx is a great class where you actually qualify to race like the ama, and it has great racing.

Bengtsson linked to two teams is good news, two good teams that is. Ice One got a real holeshot team. Much like JGR with Grant and Brayton. How long is Bobryshevs contract? Factory Honda might as well be one of the best bikes in the world. Would like to think someone more consistent wants the spot. Can be a good thing for Tixier going to a team where he has the chance of being the top guy. Can't grip that Dixon have so much problem with the Yamaha when everyone else seems to be more than fine with it.

Concerning Bengtsson, it's pure speculation, as for now...

Better with speculation than nothing. He's on a good team now, JE68 might be one of the best teams in Sweden along side JWR Honda. They help him out with selected rounds in the GPs. His goal though is to race all rounds of MXGP and to do that he needs to land a contract with one of the bigger teams. His marketing is not that large, not many people know of him. I believe he's the fastest rider from Sweden in a really long time, no disrespect to Noren, he's doing great but I believe Bengtsson is an all around stronger rider and will be able to fight for top 10s if he gets on a good programe.

Do you know if Anton Lundgren and Magne Klingsheim will still be with Yamaha for next year? Lundgren had a good opening to the season but has been out injured. Magne have been with them for a while now but I'm not sure he's living up to it. A huge bummer is Even Heibye opting out of the GPs two years ago just to dominate in the Swedish championship because it was not any fun to train everyday and ride around 15-25th place.

Two things:

1) Does Dixon's Yamahas have electric start or is that only on the 450s?

2) Are they doing R&D at the races in the search for the ultimate motor package? Ultimate motor package IMO is one that lasts to the end of the motos.

1) Kickstart.

2) They've been developing the bike through the season, they even went back to the 2013 bike Ferris rode last year. Which was extreme on power.

I know their bike 2013 was nothing like an ordinary Yamaha 250. The Cosworth version was 3-speed and revved to the moon. I guess they are trying to create something quite unique of the FI 2014 bike as well, but up until now it hasn't been a succes like last year.

I also agree with fellow swede Olsson that Filip Bengtsson is the most promising rider to come out of Sweden since Jonas Wing. They both have good style, great starters and aren't afraid to give it all they have. I think Bengtsson must improve his speed and confidence on hard tracks. MXON last year in Teutchental showed that there is still room for lot's of improvement. I do however think he is worthy of a decent ride like the one mentioned by the mx addict.

How does Bobryshev keep the MXGP HRC ride and Nagl (2014 Moto winner) lose it? Russian bank money supporting keeping him? Nagl wanted to leave? Nagl is more expensive than Bobryshev and Paulin & Nagl together were too expensive?

I mean Bobryshev seems like a nice guy and is very fast. Sadly he hasn't done anything in years due to injuries. Same could be said for Nagl but at least has has shown results - moto win.

I think nagl wanted to go as hes getting better money as NO1 rider for Ice one instead of NO2 rider at Honda... Honda offered Nagl the ride.

I thought too but his deal with that Russian bank didn't last long and fell apart a few years ago now so must be something else...

Honda would only offer one year contract to Nagl (he wanted two) since they want to try to get Herlings for 2016. I heard Honda might consider Simpson.

Simpson will stay with Hitachi KTM with more support from KTM.
