Agreed. The racing, vibe, and everything else is better without RV2, JS7, Barcia, Alessi, healthy Reed, Josh Grant. Less is more. Would be truly epic with NO riders on the gate at all.

I agree with the OP. The sport evolves, people drop out for one reason or the other and still the sport continues. Each new generation seems to be upping the bar just a bit. Would I rather have JS and RV there? Of course I would, same as Mikkola and Hannah.

It is kinda exciting to see RV not racing and just destroying these boys every weekend. Hell they couldn't stay with him in SX and he had a blown ACL all year.

I'm not too sure RV would be dominating this year. Past experience says he would BUT everything changes and just because he was consistently faster last year doesn't mean he would be this year. I had confidence RD and KR would be running his pace this year. Throw in Tomac and Canard and anything can happen.
