Anyone see this? I have no idea how this guy is suppose to make a comeback when he can't even contend at a local race. Looks like he didn't have fitness, so he tried to play the "cool guy" card and act like he didn't care. Just my $.02.

I agree, he has a LONG road to be back where he was. His whips had the crowd going and there was no way he was getting close to even a podium position with that start. I think it was more he knew that so was putting on a show than anything.

Hansen is 100% technical skill. He's not an outdoor guy and hasn't been for a long time.

I only saw the main, but he didn't try to get a start. He stayed back and did a wheelie down the straight. Not sure why he didn't go for the $15,000?

Dude it wasn't A1... He never said he was starting his comeback at PIR did he? In fact if you watch the video on racerX or TWMX he did it doesn't even sound like he was sure he was riding but going because his sponsors asked him to go for the National to sign autographs.

Why does everyone have to be such a douchebag about everything???

He has said in his newest videos with MotoSport that he is "Starting Over". Then he goes out to PIR and and tries to act like the "cool guy" because he cant keep up...

Ummm??.....before you guys go off the handle here about Josh , let me fill you in on something.

His qualifier he was running third ( actually led for about 4 - 5 laps ).....but two laps from the end , his bike went belly up!

So in the main.....he had a really bad gate pick , with his 250F ( against a bunch of 450's )......and THIS 250F was his " X-Games Step up bike! "

It wasn't even set up to moto and it had super hard suspension on it ( stiffer than his SX suspension ) and there was no way in hell he was going to muscle that thing into a good position!

OH......and this is coming from damn near last place in the main! He got hit hard in the first corner and I think he was second to last.

He worked his way back up to 14th , on an X-games bike , against some hopped up 250's and 450's.

I'd say he put in about as good a ride as someone could have in that situation.

From racer x

"What do you have going in Oregon?
They are having that PIR race, and I’m supposed to go up there. Also, MotoSport sponsors the Washougal National, so I’m going out there to go sign autographs. After that, I’ll also go riding with all the MotoSport dealers for the next two days after the race. I’ll ride with everybody who basically goes through MotoSport. It’s kind of cool and something different. Those guys have been a big help to my situation and trying to get me back on my feet for next year. I have to give it back to them."

Yeah that sounds exactly like he was saying he was making his comeback at PIR.....

Bingo. He was in the second row for the start in the main, didn't even have his own gate.

Not arguing the Step up bike thing, I heard that was what he was bringing... but it wasn't a 250F. He only has 450s currently.

I think everyone needs to give him a chance before writing him off before hes even made his comeback, Its not helping anyone going on the net and slagging them when no one really knows the full situation.

See how he is come MEC and then onto SX, I hope he can give a good showing, he was really winning me over on the 450 Hart Kawi

Bros will be bros.
Whips, wheelies, and takeouts are all Josh has now.
Looking forward to the "I'm happy Josh is living his life like he wants" and "you guys wish you could be as happy as he is" after A1... if he shows up.

I'm a huge fan of Josh's dad, him not so much, but I think it says a lot that Motorsport wants him out there, not just for his fans, but as a dealer rep. He must be doing a lot right for them to have the confidence in him to represent their company. Hope he has a successful return!

why are the bikes different ? Top pic has black swing arm and frame bottom doesnt.

Whats the deal did he have his race bike there but raced another bike or what? Or is it practice and race?

I didn't make it up there, but I'm sure if he and his team truly wanted a W they could have gotten it. This seemed like it was more for the fans/appearance. The problem with that is there are a lot of P-Town BROS, similar to BroCal BROS, who now probably think Josh, Kawis, and Monster Energy drink suck. Only one of those things actually sucks.

2nd row start for the main due to a mechanical in his qualifier.

He was talking and taking pictures with fans all night. Good dude in my opinion.

Says on the Racer X interview that he wasn't using his Step-Up bike.

He was having ignition problems...like when the bike shut off unexpectedly during the qualifier. I think that left him a little less confident about going for it on the start.

The bike he was riding was his X Games Step Up bike. The suspension? He said it made a normal Supercross setup seem like outdoor suspension. I think they opened it all the way up and went for it. He's got a dunes video shoot lined up with MotoSport early next week.

I think its great he showed up to do the PIR race.

Sounds like Josh is doing what any other normal man does at this point in their life, staying busy working his "job". Good for him and I hope he continues to stay busy and progress. Theres a lot of time between now and A1 but hes got a lot of work to do so thats good.

Thanks for info GuyB

The two bikes pictured above are 450s. I haven't seen any 250 suspension come through Enzo for him in a long time, thus my comment about him not having 250s. Plus, I don't remember him getting any on loan from Kawi this year. I think he was practicing SX on one earlier this year, but that belonged to Tedder.

My bad on the 250F thing last night......they were 450's. It was his step up bike though. Pretty crazy down there last night. Again though.....I don't think Josh was there to set the world on fire. And when his race bike was running , he looked good , fast and smooth. He didn't look all that comfortable on that second bike.

I'm sorry but that was stupid. No one does x games step up on a 250. Why would you put yourself at that huge disadvantage.
